The LA Lakers made a bold choice by appointing former NBA player JJ Redick as their new head coach after getting rid of Darvin Ham. Even though the former is inexperienced, it didn’t take him time to figure out the flaws the team had under Ham and boldly point them out.
Speaking to the ESPN panel, Redick said, “One thing we worked on was an early on system. One thing last year was they played random. When they played sets, they had a higher efficiency. We have LeBron/AD, but we are gonna play with more movement and cutting.”

Highlighting the center’s abilities, the 39-year-old said, “Someone who can obviously attack one on one, can create mismatches, but also someone that can get assists off dribble handoffs, that can get assists out of cuts.”
“So, we’re going to attempt to use him a lot as a hub on the offensive end,” the Lakers coach further added.
