VIDEO: NFL RedZone Host Scott Hanson Unleashed Some Harsh Criticism Towards Tom Brady On Live TV During The GOAT’s Broadcasting Debut For Fox
NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson couldn’t help but take a shot at Tom Brady during the latter’s broadcasting debut on FOX Sports.
On Sunday, the 47-year-old Tom Brady began the first of a 10-year, $375 million contract he signed with FOX Sports in 2022, ahead of his final NFL season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Cowboys initially lined up for a Brandon Aubrey 71-yard field goal attempt, a kick that would have set a new NFL record if successful. But Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy changed his mind and called for a Hail Mary instead.
That’s when Hanson took a shot at Tom Brady, stating that the three-time MVP didn’t sound excited enough when Aubrey was initially lined up for a 71-yard attempt:
Scott Hanson did not think Tom Brady was excited enough for Brandon Aubrey’s 71-yard field goal attempt.
Aubrey just hit from 66 but it was called off due to a delay of game. The Cowboys decided against the 71-yard try after the time-out.pic.twitter.com/EEHr1bWnRn

Fans who thought Brady sounded unenthused can point the finger at Deshaun Watson and the Browns for an uninspiring effort. The game was essentially over in the first half, with Dallas cruising to a 33-17 victory in “The Land.”
During the game, Burkhardt announced that the crew will be in Dallas next Sunday to call the Cowboys’ home opener against the New Orleans Saints (1:00 p.m. EST).
Surely, Brady hopes that the game will be a lot closer than the lopsided outing he saw in Cleveland last night.
Tom Brady Will Improve As An Analyst
It’s easy to critique Brady’s first performance in the broadcast booth, but some mistakes, awkward pauses and nerves were expected for the NFL legend. This was his first time analyzing a game on live television, and he can only get better from here.
