The Kansas City Chiefs’ have a simple approach to Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce at home games.
This is the singer’s second season as a Chiefs fan as her relationship with the tight end continues for another year.
Tonight makes Swift’s 14th game overall, and many of them have been home games.
Despite her being at Arrowhead so much, the team has never played any of her hit songs.
That is done by design.
At the World Congress of Sports last year, Chiefs president Mark Donovan says the team was careful not to brighten that spotlight on its star tight end.
“This is another conversation we had with Travis was, we did our very best to respect the relationship,” Donovan told Front Office Sports, (first transcribed by Sports Illustrated).
“Last season, in Arrowhead Stadium, we didn’t play a single Taylor Swift song during our games. And that was a sign of respect. We’re not trying to capitalize on this. We’re trying to celebrate it, but it’s not about doing too much or showing her every touchdown or anything like that. She never appeared on our big board.”
Being looked at even more did not seem to deter Travis Kelce, with Taylor Swift in the stands. He finished the regular season with 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns. During the Chiefs’ playoff run, he caught 32 passes for 355 yards and three scores, per his stats on ESPN.
Taylor Swift Expected To Attend A Ton of Games In 2024 Season
Taylor Swift attended 13 Chiefs games last season to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his team.
Swift will attend Travis Kelce’s first game of the 2024 NFL season, which will be Thursday night, when the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Ravens.
She’s in the midst of a two-month tour break after her European leg ended in August, which means she could get to many of Kelce’s early-season games.
The tour will restart in North America in October.

Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce all but confirmed that he’ll never come out of retirement after revealing a remarkable offseason body transformation.
Though he was still at the top of his game last year, Jason Kelce decided to hang up the cleats on his illustrious career that will lead to a spot in the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.
Because Kelce was playing at a high level in his age-36 season, many fans can’t help but wonder if he’d come out of retirement and return to the Eagles — especially if they’re in Super Bowl contention.
But during an interview with the Associated Press, Jason Kelce made it clear that a comeback is not happening. Kelce cited that the Eagles won’t be calling him back after his drastic offseason weight loss:
“They’re not going to call me to come back and play center at 260 pounds, and I’m moving on to the next thing and I’m excited to watch Cam (Jurgens). I really think Cam is going to be tremendous this year. He’s going to really show people how great of a player he is.
He was good for us last year at right guard and he’s going to flourish at center. And for me personally, my days of playing are just done and I do not foresee any scenario taking place other than maybe medicine inventing a way to get rid of arthritis that I would ever entertain coming back at all anymore.”
