As public decency and social decorum are in a seemingly perpetual spiral, an increasing number of viral videos depicting brawls have spread across the internet. A recent altercation has gone viral on social media, allegedly occurring at a supermarket in Jackson, Tennessee, where a group of women were fighting about an unspecified grievance.

The fight appeared to be a two-on-two matchup among four women, violently brawling in front of the produce section near the grocery store’s entrance.  As law-abiding shoppers looked on in dismay, two of the women could be seen locked in somewhat of a death roll on the floor as the other two exchanged blows from a bipedal position.

The video begins with the fight already in progress, with two of the ladies wrestling on the ground.  The other women, ostensibly friends of the two individuals locked in a stalemate in the middle of the grocery store floor, attempted to jump in and break up the fight.  However, they initiated their own dual, shouting profanity at each other.

Employees and shoppers alike looked on in horror, unsure of how to mitigate the ensuing violence before their eyes.  Thirty seconds into the video, it seemed as if the fight was fizzling out, bystanders donned on the group trying to break up the gridlocked women on the ground. At the same time, the two fighters who were still vertically positioned continued to hurl insults at each other.

However, the reprieve was only momentary as tensions would flare once again when one of the women would punch one of the opponents, shouting, “Get off my friend b—.”  As hair accessories, clothing items, and other unidentified debris lay scattered across the floor of the produce section, it seemed as if the conflict had finally been resolved while fellow bystanders kept the irate women separated.

In other crime news related to public brawls, The American Tribune has extensively reported the seeming rise in cruise ship altercations that have gone viral on social media.  In recent years, videos of such incidents have plagued the internet, showcasing the impact of budget-oriented cruises that attract a party crowd with unlimited drink packages.

Online debates have speculated as to what is causing the apparent spike in cruise ship altercations.  One Reddit user pointed out, “I keep seeing these fights being reported one after the other on Carnival ships,” while sharing a link to a news article about a recent high-profile fight on a cruise line.  Such incidents have become a concern for some prospective vacationers.

The user added, “What is going on with Carnival? What makes Carnival seemingly more likely to have fighting and issues? Or is it just a weird coincidence? I want to try the line but this news of fighting and Carnivals own policy changes because of it, has me concerned about the kind of people on the ships.”

One explanation from another user offered, “The length of the cruise on the sunshine is 2-5 days… affectionately referred to as booze cruises. Lots of people drinking lots of alcohol.” Another added, “Carnival is considered a “budget” cruise line and a “party” cruise line. When you combine the two…” Another person weighed in, “I’m a carnival loyalist. That being said, I only take their cruises out of LA and try to do 6+ day voyages to avoid the super party crowd. I’ve noticed cruises out of Florida on carnival can have a more…lively crowd.”
