VIDEO: Hot Mic Catches A Frustrated Caitlin Clark Complaining About Her Teammates To Head Coach

Indiana Fever coach Christie Sides sent a very clear message to her team after Thursday’s blowout loss to the New York Liberty, and it appears that Caitlin Clark had to send another one to her coach on Saturday.

The Indiana Fever are winless throughout the 2024 WNBA regular season.

In contrast to her performance in the season’s first two games, Caitlin Clark appeared considerably better in Indiana’s most recent defeat. Basketball, however, is a team sport. Furthermore, one could argue that Clark’s teammates haven’t been playing at their best either, and it clearly bothers her.

Clark is desperately trying to get her teammates more involved with the offense, but many of them have a hard time catching her passes, which has led to numerous turnovers.

The repeated mishandles have gotten to Caitlin Cark, and ESPN cameras recently caught her complaining to head coach Christie Sides. She could be heard responding back, “100 percent. 100 percent. We will. Just give them time. Give ’em time.”

Clark appears to refer to them not catching the basketball.

On Saturday afternoon at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the Indiana Fever opened their early season with a 91-80 loss to the New York Liberty, their third straight defeat.

A bright spot for the Fever was Caitlin Clark’s performance, as she concluded the most effective game of her WNBA career to date. Fifteen of Clark’s 22 points came in the first half. She also contributed eight assists, six rebounds, and eight turnovers, most of which were caused by her teammates’ inability to catch the ball.

At 52.9 percent from the field and 4-10 from three, her efficiency was comparable to that of her time as an Iowa Hawkeyes superstar.

Caitlin Clark has started her career off with the Indiana Fever with three-straight losses.

She is not scoring like she was in college, and even worse, she is leading the league in a terrible category.

With an average of seven turnovers per game, Clark leads the league with a total of 21 turnovers, via WNBA.com.
