Democratic Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) recently claimed that former President Donald Trump will win the crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania over Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election. Fetterman illustrated that the “choice is obvious” in a matchup of the two candidates, in a statement that is sure to spark controversy among his leftist colleagues.
Speaking to conservative news outlet Newsmax, Fetterman claimed, “I think if you match up Trump with Harris, and I think that’s what this is really about, and I do believe he’s going to win Pennsylvania. And I do believe it’s going to be close, but whether it’s Biden, whether it was Clinton, or whether it was with Vice President Harris I think it’s going to be very close.”
Throughout the latter half of the Biden-Harris administration, there has been substantial speculation as to how swing states will vote in the upcoming election. Earlier this year, The American Tribune reported on research among swing state voters, including Pennsylvania, that indicated favorability toward Trump on key issues such as the economy. There was a unanimous agreement that people were better off under Trump financially.
A Pennsylvania voter named Virginia explained how her local economy is at a “standstill,” complaining about the difficulty of making investments in the current business environment. Virginia noted that she understood the need to tame inflation with the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy but claimed it is hampering economic activity.
Virginia said, “We have areas here in Pennsylvania where it’s just at a standstill right now. Like, things are supposed to be being built and the interest rates are just way too high for people to, you know, invest and start moving around. The interest rate is so high right now and I know they’re trying to cut the inflation down, but like, if nobody is building, no businesses are really coming to Pennsylvania right now to keep us moving forward.”
Gigi, another Pennsylvania voter asserted that it doesn’t feel as if the Biden-Harris administration has taken any accountability for the abysmal state of the economy. “I feel like he doesn’t even take accountability at all with what’s going on,” she said. “Not even accountability, like he’s in denial that it’s happening.”
The American Tribune reported on recent controversy surrounding the Vice President Kamala Harris, where Ben Carson claimed it was “quite clear” that she and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, were attempting to lie their way into the Oval Office. Carson said, “Obviously, the campaign for Kamala and the Democrat party know that they’re in bad shape, because there was a reason that Kamala got so little support when she was running for president during the primary process. The reason that she dropped out is because people found out who she was.”

He further criticized her unwillingness to engage with the press, stating, “It’s been 20 days and counting — no interview, no press conference. She wants to stay hidden as much as she possibly can, because, as Trump said last night, she’s not really capable of doing an interview without having all the aides, the teleprompter … and people will find out very, very quickly what’s going on. So they’re going to keep trying to push and push, extend things.”
