Cassie and 50 Cent have criticized Shawn “Diddy” Combs’ apology video, accusing him of insincerity and revealing his true intentions. The controversy intensified after Diddy released a video addressing past grievances, which led to further backlash instead of reconciliation. Cassie, who had a turbulent relationship with Diddy, and 50 Cent, known for his bluntness, have challenged the authenticity of Diddy’s apology, suggesting it was calculated rather than genuine.

New surveillance footage obtained by CNN shows Diddy assaulting Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel in March 2016, corroborating allegations in a lawsuit she filed and settled last year. The video shows Diddy chasing, punching, and kicking Cassie in a hallway. Diddy has publicly apologized, describing the incident as inexcusable and one of the darkest times in his life, though he maintains that the apology does not seek forgiveness but acknowledges his wrongdoing.

The release of this footage has reignited public scrutiny of Diddy, with 50 Cent mocking Diddy and questioning his advisors. Cassie’s husband, Alex Fine, also condemned the behavior, calling for accountability. Despite the disturbing video, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office stated it could not press charges due to the time elapsed since the incident.
The footage and allegations have sparked a broader conversation about accountability and transparency in the entertainment industry, emphasizing the importance of addressing past wrongdoings by influential figures.
