Kamala Harris is once again being slammed for lying about something. This time people are bringing up an older debate where someone pointed out that Kamala Harris lied about her prosecutorial record – and they got her to admit the truth during the debate. This took place back in 2003 when Kamala Harris was running for district attorney of San Francisco. Her team sent mailers promoting her, saying she had more prosecutorial experience then what was actually true.
Specifically, the mailer said: “Kamala has tried hundreds of serious and violent felonies, including homicide, rape, and child sexual assault cases.” Except, she did not have that experience. During a debate with an opponent named Bill Fazio, he accused her of misleading people. Fazio asked Harris: “How many cases have you tried? Can you tell us how many serious felonies you have tried? Can you tell us one?” Harris finally admit the truth. She said: “I’ve tried about 50 cases, Mr. Fazio, and it’s about leadership.”
But this is where Fazio put the nail in her coffin of misleading dishonesty. Fazio said: “Ms. Harris, why does your information, which is still published, say that you tried hundreds of serious felonies? I think that’s misleading. I think that’s disingenuous. I think that shows that you are incapable of leadership and you’re not to be trusted… You continue to put out information which says you have tried hundreds of serious felonies.”
