Eminem makes controversial Lizzo diss in his new album
Rapper Eminem has divided listeners on social media after taking a dig at Lizzo on his song Road Rage.
Eminem isn’t a stranger to controversy. In fact some of his most iconic and memorable songs are pretty controversial. Cough, cough, guilty conscious…
So, with the release of his latest album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) on Friday (July 12), many were expecting the rapper to fire shots at other celebs and essentially anyone in all honesty.
With the release of his song early in the year, Houdini, even managed to p*** off some fans of Megan Thee Stallion fans with one line.
In his song Road Rage, the rapper’s fans are now predicting he could face the ire of Lizzos fans for a jab at the music star.

During the song Eminem raps: “They’re tryna make my mouth closed like it’s clothing (What?)
“This what it is though, but this is show biz, so things. Ain’t never really truly over ’til Lizzo sings (Like I won’t say that).
In the verse Eminem continued to voice his (or possibly his alter ego Slim Shady’s) views on the body-positive movement.
He continues to joke through the verse and says he’ll continue to be honest about it despite the perceptions he could face a backlash.
On social media many did find the jab at Lizzo funny but are expecting a bit of a pushback against the rapper.
“Hahaha not even LIZZO and the movement is spared. Here Slim Shady/Eminem spit nothing but truths, and I understand why it’s hard for some people to stomach it!,” one user wrote on Twitter.

“Lizzy banter from Eminem, and I’m here for it,” another added.
“The show ain’t over till Lizzo sings nah Eminem wilding again,” wrote another.
“Eminem is going to make some people mad because of the road rage song, lol,” commented a fourth”
Lizzo hasn’t addressed the diss in the track and chances are she probably wont.
The singer has been candid about her weight in the past and has described herself as a ‘fat woman’.
Speaking in 2022, the singer told People magazine: “I know I’m fat. It doesn’t bother me. I like being fat, and I’m beautiful and I’m healthy. So can we move on?”
She added: “I think I have a really hot body! I’m a body icon, and I’m embracing that more and more every day.”

Eminem’s latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), has been hotly anticipated for months with fans salivating at how the legendary rapper would reflect and reference his past glory and heyday.
Fans already got a taste of the album with the song ‘Houdini’ that Eminem, real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, released in May.
The song was positively received and had a slew of references to some of his older hits.
So, fans expected much of the same for the full album release today (July 12), however one song caught them off guard – ‘Temporary’.

The song acts as a love letter to the rapper’s 28-year-old daughter, Hailie Jade, for when he eventually dies.
Fans that know Eminem’s back catalogue well, will be aware that he mentions his successes and failures when it comes to being a parent, with songs like ‘Mockingbird’ and ‘When I’m Gone’ coming to mind.
Eminem opens ‘Temporary’ by saying: “A lot of people ask me, am I afraid of death?
“The truth is, I think what scares me the most is not being able to say all the things I wanna say to you when I’m no longer here.
“So, this song is for Hailie, for when that day comes.”

The song even includes adorable audio between Eminem and his daughter when she was a toddler.
It goes on to comfort Hailie, following her father’s death, and fans have been admitting to tearing up after their first listen.
Many have taken to social media to remark that it made them think of their own relationships with their parents and children.
“’Temporary’ & ‘Somebody Save Me’ had me f***** crying,” one user wrote on YouTube.

Another added: “This made me cry so hard. This makes me think of my own father. He’s been there for me even though he’s done drugs, sent to jail, and all that s***. This makes me realize there’s still hope for him. Thank you Eminem.”
While a third wrote: “We’ve listened over the years as he dedicates these songs to her and even now at 28, graduated college and married, he still dedicates songs to her. Absolutely amazing.”
And another fan commented: “My parents passed away 2 years apart when I was younger, and now I am a father of 4 children 14 and under, and this song really hits me differently. Parents, please let your kids know you love them because one day you may not have the opportunity to say it again or hear it from them again.”

Eminem has released a trailer for his latest album, stunning the music world.
It is hard to believe but rapper Eminem has been causing controversy for years in the music industry, and not just a couple… try for about 30 years.
But after releasing his last album ‘Insomnia’ in 2020, the star has made his grand return and released a trailer to announce his upcoming album, which should be dropping this summer.
And this time, it’s not an April Fool’s joke.
You can watch the trailer here:

(X/Eminem)
The trailer showed a true crime reporter discussing the death of one of Eminem’s most loved alter-egos, Slim Shady at a crime scene.
And this is particularly fitting as the album title is ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)’ which basically translates to the final blow or killing shot.
“Through his complex and often-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” the reporter says.
Not sure I’d call Slim Shady an anti-hero, but hey.
Eminem’s longterm friend and fellow rapper, 50 Cent, is also seen in the trailer and seems visibly disturbed, saying: “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.”
The reporter continued: “The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise.
“Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.”

Eminem himself even makes an appearance behind a blur, saying that he ‘thinks it was just a matter of time for Slim’ before ‘accidentally’ revealing his face.
And fans on social media are buzzing with excitement at the announcement.
“You’re gonna drop another classic I can feel it,” one user wrote.
“I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THIS WE ARE FINALLY GETTING A NEW ALBUMMMMM,” another fan wrote.
“I think we about to witness Em unlock a new level of lyricism here. The title of this album makes me too optimistic,” a third wrote.
“It was a great ride man. I grew up listening to your music. I’ll never forget the first time I heard Kamakazi. Kids will never know what it was like growing up during those times.” another commented.
Fans have said they hope this album will be a return to the slim-shady style of Eminem.(X/Eminem)
However, while many fans are hoping to see the return of chka-chka, Slim Shady, the 51-year-old rapper has changed a lot since then.
While the star hasn’t performed every one of his songs live, there is one song from his earlier years that he refuses to play for his crowds.
The song ‘Cleanin’ Out My Closet‘, which was released in 2002, and Eminem has… shall we say some choice words about his mother.
The 8 Mile star has said that he has since retired the song and even released the song ‘Headlights’ as an apology to his mother.
