The “Tobey” release announced for July 5 became a day of disappointment for many Eminem fans who had waited forever only to learn about a two-day delay.
The official reason declared on Eminem’s socials was that the video was not completed. Some fans were unhappy with the scheduling failure from the management; some blamed Cole Bennett, who did not submit the video on time.
Big Sean, one of the “Tobey” featured artists, joined the latter camp but in the warmest way possible. On his Instagram, he shared a snippet from the music video captioning it jokingly with:
This delay is Cole Bennett fault… for being a perfectionist! Monday
So, now we, and Big Sean as well, have no other choice but to wait. There is no doubt that this new video is worth the wait. Yet, this delay will mess with the track charting performance.
