The New York Liberty got back to its winning ways this week, and Sabrina Ionescu made sure it was memorable.
The New York Liberty star and gold medalist hit a fantastic Yusuf Dikec celebration during a matchup with the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Turkish shooter’s Olympic reign may be over, but he lives forever in social media fame as his iconic one-arm shooting stance appears to be the thing to do after knocking down a shot or doing anything successful.
In New York’s 103-68 blowout victory over the Los Angeles Sparks, Sabrina Ionescu went viral on social media after teammate Breanna Stewart swished her third straight three-pointer to give the Liberty a commanding 77-40 lead. Ionescu celebrated by doing Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec’s now-iconic celebration from this summer’s Paris Games.
Stewart had a monster game, dropping 27 points on 10-for-15 shooting.
Sabrina Ionescu had quite the game herself, putting up 18 points and adding six rebounds, per ESPN.
Sabrina Ionescu Shared Special Moment With Family of Kobe Bryant After Gold Medal Victory In Paris
Former Oregon Duck Sabrina Ionescu helped the United States win its eighth straight gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
The New York Liberty star, a mentee of Kobe Bryant’s, had a special moment with his family shortly after.
Ionescu ran over to hug Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, and her three daughters, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
Ionescu had just met Kobe and his daughter, Gigi, in 2019 when the two sat courtside for a game between her Oregon Ducks and USC.
She would soon begin working out with them in the summer and building a friendship.
Unfortunately, things would end terribly months later as Kobe and Gigi Bryant were tragically killed in a helicopter crash in January 2020.
Sabrina Ionescu was one of many people who spoke at Kobe Bryant’s celebration of life.

The father of Travis Kelce is piping hot mad. He took to Facebook to post a Daily Mail article spotlighting a lyric on Kanye West’s long-awaited Vultures 2 album with Ty Dolla $ign that mentions Taylor Swift.
Kanye featured a lyrical reference to Taylor Swift’s romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. “I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce,” Lil Wayne raps on the track “Lifestyle (Demo).”
“Mental illness on full display,” Ed wrote in response.
Honestly, those lyrics are quite tame to what we have heard in the past.
