Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr fell short to lead the Warriors to the championship last season. However, as a Team USA head coach, he had success leading the star-studded roster to win their fifth straight gold for the USA.
Recently, Kerr made an appearance at the Democratic National Convention’s opening night, where he addressed his critics in a clever way. During his speech on Monday, Kerr subtly addressed some of his critics who had been vocal on Twitter about the Warriors’ lackluster performance last season.
“I would’ve played more press coverage with your corners and then dropped the safeties into a Tampa 2. But that’s just me. Sorry, I wanted you to know how I feel every day of the NBA season,” Kerr said.
Under Kerr’s coaching, the Warriors ended the season with a 46-36 record and were ranked 10th in the Western Conference. Unfortunately, they also missed the playoffs, which added more criticism for the head coach.
NBA Fans React to Steve Kerr’s Playful Banter
After Steve Kerr took aim at his critics, the NBA fans were in stitches over his playful banter. Many were surprised that, despite his prominent position, he still had the guts to respond to his critics so openly.
However, some fans criticized Kerr for using the wrong platform to express his frustrations. It seemed like he had been waiting for the perfect moment to address his critics, and when the opportunity came, he didn’t hold back.

Moreover, some fans were angered by what they saw as an inappropriate outburst from the former NBA star-turned coach. His bold remarks during the DNC opening night left a few fans so upset that they even called for his firing.
The Golden State Warriors will begin their NBA 2024-25 campaign against Portland Trail Blazers on October 23.

Norwegian pole vaulter Embla Matilde Njerve has been trending online during the current Olympic Games, but fans will likely be embarrassed after finding something out.
Pole vaulters have been a popular show at these games, and not just for their pole vaulting prowess. One athlete went viral after his shaft prevented him from qualifying by latching onto the bar, while another did the rounds because she celebrated by twerking.
Pole vaulting is done at the Olympics, with Mondo Duplantis of Sweden winning the men’s competition and Australian Nina Kennedy winning the women’s. Still, Njerve is the one who’s been attracting most of the attention on social media.
There’s one problem, however. The Norway international was never at the Olympics.
