Haliey Welch has revealed the first thing she did with her newfound wealth after coining the “Hawk Tuah” phrase.

Welch, who went viral after a street interview in which she described her go-to bedroom move popped up online, has made a surprising sum on the back of her few minutes of fame. As it turns out, the minutes are still rolling, and so is the dough.

The 21-year-old has made thousands of dollars selling “Hawk Tuah” merchandise while receiving north of $30,000 per appearance. She has also quit her job and hired a management team, and multiple projects are expected to be inbound.

TMZ caught up with Haliey after she landed in New York this week. She told the outlet she was visiting NY for the first time. She shared several photos from her trip, which you can see below.

After her recent windfall, she was also asked what she bought first and revealed having spent around $900 on pet supplies.

Haliey Welch Is Trying To Find Owners For Homeless Animals

Haliey Welch has partnered with Mt. Juliet Animal Shelter in Tennessee and has been helping animals find new homes.

She previously posted videos of her shopping for the shelter at Pet Smart.

“If I only have 15 minutes of fame then I’m going to spend every last minute of it doing the right thing,” she captioned one of them. “Let’s try and find a home for these sweet lil cats & dogs. Please head over to @mjasvolunteerorganization to get started! 🐶🐱.”

There’s a lot more to Haliey than “Hawk Tuah.” And it appears she’s already gone some way into making people see that.

Michigan Wolverines head football coach Sherrone Moore provided an interesting update on his team’s plans at quarterback as the regular season draws closer.

The defending national champions will look a lot different this year. Head coach Jim Harbaugh returned to the NFL after accepting the Los Angeles Chargers’ HC vacancy, and Moore was named the new head coach of the Michigan Wolverines.

Michigan will also have a new starting quarterback. Last year’s signal-caller, JJ McCarthy, declared for the 2024 NFL Draft and was taken 10th overall by the Minnesota Vikings.

Davis Warren, Jack Tuttle and Alex Orji are the three front-runners for the starting job, according to Tony Garcia of the Detroit Free Press. Tuttle attempted 17 passes in minimal action last season, completing 15 of them for 130 yards and a touchdown.

With the Aug. 31 season opener against Fresno State drawing closer, Moore stresses that he’s still taking his time deciding on the new starting QB in Ann Arbor:
