Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is just an all-around good guy.
He could never really find his footing in the National Football League, which is why, following a standout college career, he only lasted three seasons.
Tebow is receiving tons of praise this week after some old comments he made came to light.
A few years ago, Tim Tebow was the keynote speaker at Kansans for Life’s annual Valentine’s Day banquet when he revealed that he would rather be remembered for helping save babies from abortion than for winning the Super Bowl.
Tebow spoke at the Overland Park Convention Center for the pro-life event “LIVing in Victory,” which was themed after Super Bowl LIV.
“It really does mean a lot more than winning the Super Bowl,” Tebow said of being there and speaking out for the lives of the innocent. “One day, when you look back and people are talking about you and they say, ‘Oh my gosh what are you going to be known for? Are you going to say Super Bowl, or we saved a lot of babies?’”
The 2007 Heisman trophy winner then spoke on others to join the “rescue mission.”
“When’s the last time you heard a rescue mission taking place in a month or a few years. No, a rescue mission means now. It gives you a sense of urgency. It says we have to go not because it’s our time but because it’s their time … I have to live a sense of urgency because while I might have time, they don’t,” he continued.
Despite the comments coming from so long ago, fans still praised Tim Tebow for his words:
Tim Tebow Didn’t Last Long In The League, But He Made His Mark
Former NFL quarterback and college football legend Tim Tebow could never quite recreate what he did in college in the NFL, which resulted in just three seasons played.
Despite his short time in the league, Tebow still left his mark, as many people spoke a lot about him kneeling down in prayer during games.
It became a hot-button topic, and many thought he was blackballed out of the league because of it. That was never true.
In his three professional football seasons with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets, Tim Tebow threw for 2,422 yards, 17 touchdowns, and nine interceptions on a 47.9 completion percentage, according to ESPN stats.
He also rushed for 989 yards and 12 touchdowns on 197 carries.

The 2024 Paris Olympics was Stephen Curry’s first ever appearance in the Paris Olympics. The Golden State Warriors star poured so much athleticism into his first appearance on the international stage that caught everyone’s attention, including popular NBA analyst Skip Bayless.
After Team USA’s 98-87 victory over France in the Olympics final, LeBron James was crowned with the MVP title of the tournament. Soon after that, Bayless stirred controversy by posting on social media that LeBron should not win the MVP title. Rather, the sports analyst sees Curry as the real winner of the title.
“I’M SORRY, NOW THERE’S NO WAY LEBRON IS MVP. IT HAS TO BE STEPH. 17 THREES IN THE SEMI AND THE FINAL. WE WOULD NOT HAVE WON EITHER WITHOUT HIM,” Bayless wrote in an X post.
Curry scored 24 points in the final game against France. With his outstanding shooting skills, the Warriors star hit eight three-pointers, three of which came in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. On the other hand, James contributed 14 points and 10 assists and shot an impressive 60% from the field.
