Fans found the idea ridiculous
NFL fans have had a field day on social media after Patrick Mahomes suggested that Taylor Swift has been drawing up plays for the Kansas City Chiefs to implement during the new NFL season.
The Chiefs were already an extremely popular franchise with a recent Super Bowl under their belts but the relationship between Swift and tight end Travis Kelce has catapulted their international standing.
Clearly, Swift is not content with watching games from the stands and bringing Kelce out on stage during the Eras Tour. She wants to be involved in the action and thinks her ideas should be listened to.
Mahomes said on Friday to NBC that Swift has been getting really into the sport since she started dating Kelce and has been drawing up offensive plays, but only he knows whether he was joking or not.
“She’s really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions. Started drawing up plays. We might have to put one in,” he said.
Fans enjoy the jokes
Needless to say, the internet took this information and ran with it.
One fan wrote: “What’s next, xwill be writing a song together with her?”
Another said: “They’re gonna use a play she drew up for Kelce to score in the next super bowl for the Chiefs to threepeat.”
One fan was very exasperated by the whole thing, writing: “Dear lord enough (and I like Taylor, I like Travis, but enough)”

One fan shared an edited picture of Swift in a Chiefs jersey holding up ‘her play’ which was a child’s drawing, whilst another illustrated her play with a gif of some very blurry NFL footage showing an unusual play.
“What next? They get Sabrina Carpenter to choose the team?,” many more are likely to have wondered.

Sha’Carri Richardson made sure to remind people that she is still that girl with her performance in the women’s 4×100-meter relay.
Team USA’s women’s relay team will compete in the 4×100-meter final all because Richardson showed why she was made for the big stage.
Sha’Carri Richardson bailed the women out from a near collapse on Thursday in the Olympic 4×100 relay. She overcame a German runner in the anchor leg to help the Americans win their heat and advance to the gold-medal race.
Amid that run, Richardson could be seen staring at Rebekka Haase as she quickly passed her up on the track.
