The 34-year-old music wants to protect her assets if they ever split up

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's engagement will have terms agreed in prenuptial agreement

Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce could be getting married in the near future, but sensational pop star will not pop the question without a prenup agreement between the pair, according to insiders.

The couple have been dating since around September 2023, when the Eras Tour star appeared at Chiefs‘ games at the Arrowhead Stadium and sparked rumors after the NFL ace admitted he previously tried to shoot his shot and missed.

Since then, they have continued to go from strength to strength but it’s not enough for Swift to forgo all commonsense and leave her own assets and wealth on the line if they ever split up, with Life & Style reporting she wants an “iron clad” prenup.

“The formalities are just their schedules that have gotten in the way, as well as the logistics of a prenup,” an insider told Life & Style. “Which is obviously complicated by the vast amounts of money involved on both sides.

“This is a lot further along than either Taylor or Travis would care to admit, since they’ve considered themselves unofficially engaged for a while and are both 100 percent committed to spending the rest of their lives together and starting a family.”

When will they get engaged?

Swift and Kelce are set to celebrate one year together in August-September and it seems as though they’re already prepared to make a life-long commitment to each other by getting engaged, despite only being together for a relatively short time.

Reports in December 2023 were that Kelce had already asked for Scott Swift‘s permission to marry his daughter, which was thought to have “whole-heartedly” been given as per PageSix.com, who later claimed an engagement is on the horizon.

“The engagement is happening soon,” an insider said to PageSix.com on August 2.
