Thursday’s episode of Big Brother featured a fierce AI Arena competition followed by a high-stakes elimination that some viewers disagreed with.
As the episode aired, however, some fans tuning into the CBS reality TV competition struggled to watch.
A number of Paramount+ subscribers flocked to X, formerly Twitter, to complain about disruptions in their service during the show.
The issues led them to miss the voting and elimination as it aired, despite them paying to have live TV access through the streaming platform.
“@paramountplus why do I pay for live TV when I can’t even watch the shows I want when they’re playing? You need to fix this,” slammed one subscriber, sharing a video of what they saw as they attempted to tune in.
Despite clicking on the live episode of Big Brother Season 26 in the app, they were brought to a broadcast of the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars pre-season football game.
Another Paramount+ user posted on social media, “@paramountplus why am I paying to watch a tornado warning instead of the Big Brother live vote [crying emoji].”
“Hey @paramountplus – if Big Brother is airing in my time zone I should be able to watch on your app that I pay for even if the local network is choosing to play a football game between the two worst teams in the NFL,” slammed a third.
A fourth Big Brother fan asked, “@paramountplus what the F is going on why can’t the DMC area can’t watch big brother.”

“Hello!!! @askparamount I paid to add showtime and I still can’t get the live eviction. Enjoy my money,” complained a fifth subscriber.
Another posted, “@paramountplus I PAY FOR YOUR SERVICE, WHY CAN i not WATCH @cbsbigbrother Online??????”
WHAT A WASTE
Those who could tune in and watch the drama unfold on Big Brother live were left fuming following the elimination.
After flip-flopping between his desire to go home and his desire to stay and compete on Big Brother, Kenney Kelly was sent home.

He was up for elimination against Tucker Des Lauriers and Quinn Martin.
Tucker was saved after crushing the competition in the Big Brother AI Arena but Kenney and Quinn were both vulnerable.
Before the elimination, the duo was given the opportunity to plead their cases as for why they should be saved.
Quinn argued his case, while Kenney seemed resigned to the idea of returning to his wife and two children in Boston, Massachusetts.
“First off, to my lovely wife and kids I love and miss you guys tremendously,” he said.
“To Quinn, I don’t know how you ended up here. … Houseguests, this is a game. I know it’s a game but there’s real emotions in this game. I was a competitor. I came to win, I came to play. … I love all of you, I appreciate all of you. Do what you think is best for the game.”
In the live vote, all but Tucker voted for Kenney to leave the Big Brother house, which many fans declared a mistake.
“So dumb not to vote out Quinn considering his power,” one fan posted.
“I believe 100% that Kenney told everyone to vote him out after he returned from the AI Arena,” suggested a second viewer.
“These houseguests are boring af! Evict the good players! Evict Quinn! Gosh!” ordered a third.
“These nimrods really gonna waste a good eviction to get out the guy who literally will walk on his own in a matter of days,” slammed a fourth viewer.
“I have to say houseguests are silly for not evicting a clear good social player,” wrote a fifth commenter.
“I wanna hear how keeping quinn over kenney helps y’all’s game…quickly…,” slammed a sixth.
Someone else called the elimination choice a “big mistake.”
IS IT STAGED?
Critical viewers have had a lot to say about this season of Big Brother.
Following an August 7 episode, viewers questioned whether the show was scripted, while other accused producers of controlling outcomes.
During the episode, it appeared the entire house was gunning for Season 26 villain Angela Murray to be sent home.
Fans watching believed it appeared as though producers were working to save her and send Kenney home in her place.
Throughout the episode, Kenney battled with his homesickness, with producers seemingly growing as frustrated with him as those watching the show.
At one point, they compiled scenes of him switching between wanting to leave and playing the game, adding a thumbs-down emoji on screen.
Meanwhile Cedric Hodges was devising a plan with his alliances to evict Angela after they united together to blindside Lisa Donahue in an earlier episode.
Fans online speculated that producers appeared to be manipulating the competition to protect Angela.
During the episode, there was a power of veto competition, during which players were asked to try weaving glowing rods through a fake jungle setting without hitting laser beams and lowering their power.
“This Veto would be REALLY easy for the producers to manipulate a winner,” posted one commenter.
“Kenney with the Go home edit it’s like producers know Kenneys going,” pointed out a second.
“Honestly, the Big Brother producers need to just let Kenney go. Don’t let him compete. Don’t waste everybody’s time, just send him home,” ordered a third.
“The producers clearly want Kenney to go home this week,” a fourth fan penned.
“The producers are f**king done with kenney wanting to quit ijbol,” wrote a fifth.
Angela was spared during an earlier elimination as well, furthering the chatter.
