Mahomes spoke about what makes his chemistry with Reid so strong
In a recent interview, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes offered a rare glimpse into the extraordinary partnership he shares with head coach Andy Reid, shedding light on the deep connection that has fueled their success in the NFL. The conversation highlighted just how in sync Mahomes and Reid have become, a bond that has developed through years of collaboration and shared victories.
Mahomes shared an intriguing detail about their relationship, explaining, “There are moments during games when I can anticipate the play call even before it comes in.” He elaborated that as soon as Reid begins to send in personnel, he often finds himself already aligned with the strategy, understanding both the intent and the reasoning behind it. This level of anticipation and understanding, as Mahomes pointed out, is the result of countless repetitions and a consistent lineup of players who have worked together over multiple seasons.
The synergy between Mahomes and Reid is not just a byproduct of time but a testament to the trust and respect they have for each other. “That just comes with a lot of reps, a lot of time with Coach Reid, and a lot of the same guys in our football team,” Mahomes emphasized, underscoring the importance of continuity and familiarity in their success.

As comparisons to legendary NFL duos like Tom Brady and Bill Belichick inevitably arise, Mahomes and Reid are steadily carving out their own place in history. Since Mahomes became the Chiefs‘ starting quarterback in 2018, the team has made the playoffs every single year, a testament to the strength of their partnership.
With each passing season, the possibility of Mahomes and Reid surpassing Brady and Belichick as the NFL’s greatest quarterback-coach duo becomes more tangible. Their journey is far from over, but the foundation they’ve built is strong enough to suggest that they could one day redefine what it means to be the best in the league.

The 2024 Paris Olympics was Stephen Curry’s first ever appearance in the Paris Olympics. The Golden State Warriors star poured so much athleticism into his first appearance on the international stage that caught everyone’s attention, including popular NBA analyst Skip Bayless.
After Team USA’s 98-87 victory over France in the Olympics final, LeBron James was crowned with the MVP title of the tournament. Soon after that, Bayless stirred controversy by posting on social media that LeBron should not win the MVP title. Rather, the sports analyst sees Curry as the real winner of the title.
“I’M SORRY, NOW THERE’S NO WAY LEBRON IS MVP. IT HAS TO BE STEPH. 17 THREES IN THE SEMI AND THE FINAL. WE WOULD NOT HAVE WON EITHER WITHOUT HIM,” Bayless wrote in an X post.
Curry scored 24 points in the final game against France. With his outstanding shooting skills, the Warriors star hit eight three-pointers, three of which came in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. On the other hand, James contributed 14 points and 10 assists and shot an impressive 60% from the field.
