Stephen Curry has been a commanding force in the NBA for over a decade, garnering attention mostly for his exceptional shooting skills. Besides being a key player for the Golden State Warriors, Curry recently added a new achievement to his impressive resume by winning his first gold medal at the Paris Olympics in his debut appearance in the Summer Games.
Despite his numerous successes, Curry’s ability to outshine his opponents has been a consistent theme throughout his career. Free agent NBA player Ty Lawson recently discussed the challenge of defending against Curry during an appearance on the Raw Room podcast. Lawson recounted a particular moment when Curry’s skill left him awestruck.
“Steph [Curry] was tough too… It was against us, and he shot it in the right corner. I was looking at the ball, and he was like, “Boom.” Splash. I’m like, ‘Yoo, Steph, bruh, you’re different’; nobody’s seen that before,” Lawson said.
Stephen Curry Vows to Keep Winning After Contract Extension
Stephen Curry has secured another year with the Golden State Warriors after agreeing to a one-year, $62.6 million extension. This new deal seems to have fueled Curry’s competitive spirit even more. In a recent interview with Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic, Curry expressed his determination to keep the Warriors at the top.
“It’s about continuing to win. And taking the necessary steps to give ourselves a chance. The standard hasn’t changed. The expectation hasn’t changed,” Curry said.
One of those challenges is the recent departure of Klay Thompson, who joined the Dallas Mavericks during the offseason. The loss of Thompson has led many to believe that the Warriors might no longer have what it takes to be a championship contender.
However, Curry’s resolve suggests otherwise, as he appears ready to lead the team forward. Without Thompson, Curry and the Warriors will face their first major test against the Portland Trail Blazers in their season opener on October 24.

Like most others, Michael Jordan is attempting to make the most of his summer by taking a pleasant vacation. Online footage of the NBA legend traveling to Italy with his spouse, Yvette Prieto, has just surfaced.
In one video, Jordan and Prieto can be seen dancing at a table at what seems to be a nightclub. Like in his playing days, the six-time champion smokes a cigar on his night out. The pair eventually lose themselves in the intensity of the occasion and start dancing. Michael Jordan and his spouse traveled to Italy in elegance, as anticipated. The Chicago Bulls icon is currently on a superyacht.
Several memorable moments occurred during the evening, such as the amusing present from the nightclub: a tambourine with their faces from the same night’s picture. Prieto held the unique gift up for Jordan to see, and it caused grins and laughter.
Jordan also interacted with people on their Capri excursion, shaking hands, striking pictures at their table, and dancing with them. His approachable manner and eagerness to interact with people emphasized his genuine nature even more.
