NFL fans are sympathizing with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen following a devastating announcement from the player’s family.
Bills fans consider players kin in Buffalo and are well informed when it comes to their blood ties, which is why they are sincerely feeling it for their QB, who should be absent for their final preseason game because he is grieving.
Allen’s grandfather, Vaughn Von Allman, who was a massive Bills fan himself for obvious reasons, recently passed on. The Pro Bowler’s sister, Nicala Madden, took to Instagram to share a heartwarming tribute this Tuesday.
“Heaven gained a good one.🩵🙏 We are blessed with so many great memories with our papa. 🥺 I could always count on him to share some ice cream or for a funny joke that didn’t make sense but we all laughed anyways. He loved his family so much and built a beautiful legacy,” she wrote as the caption to the video shown below.

Josh’s mom, Lavonne Allen, was among those who commented on Nicala’s post.
“Omg that was beautiful Sis,” she wrote. “What a legend and a hero in my eyes. A daddy is a daughter’s first love and he sure was mine. I’m sure gonna miss those pretty blues and that sweet but devilish grin. You are pain free now papa so use those wings to soar wherever you want. Your laughter and spunky personality was off the charts and we are going to miss you so much. Love love ❤️ love you ❤️.”
The Bills are scheduled to play the Carolina Panthers this Saturday, but Allen is expected to miss the fixture as it’s the same day his granddad is getting buried.
Our thoughts go out to Allen and his family during their time of mourning.

Sha’Carri Richardson made sure to remind people that she is still that girl with her performance in the women’s 4×100-meter relay.
Team USA’s women’s relay team will compete in the 4×100-meter final all because Richardson showed why she was made for the big stage.
Sha’Carri Richardson bailed the women out from a near collapse on Thursday in the Olympic 4×100 relay. She overcame a German runner in the anchor leg to help the Americans win their heat and advance to the gold-medal race.
Amid that run, Richardson could be seen staring at Rebekka Haase as she quickly passed her up on the track.
