He made a bold call which hasn’t paid off

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant‘s mother has admitted that she would have loved him to have stayed with the Golden State Warriors and she thinks that he would have had ’20 rings by now’ if he did.

Wanda Durant made an appearance on the Raising Fame show, which is hosted by Sonya Curry (Stephen Curry’s mom) and Lucille O’Neal (Shaquille O’Neal’s mom).

The main focus was her son’s career and she has major regrets on his behalf on leaving the Warriors. He was struggling with injuries in his last year with the Warriors and a fresh start made sense to a lot of people, but Wanda thinks he would have had huge success if he stayed.

“Sonya, you and I, we were in the thicket together for a few years,” Wanda told Sonya Curry on the show. “I ain’t really want him to go either… Man, we would’ve had 20 rings by now. And it was about 10 years ago. That’s how cold they were.”

Durant’s Warriors success

Of course, 20 rings is a major exaggeration but it is fair to say that Kevin Durant would be a more decorated player if he remained with the Warriors.

He joined them in 2016 and the success was almost immediate. The Warriors finished the 2016-17 regular season with a 67-15 record and then set a new NBA postseason record by going 16-1 in the playoffs to claim the title.

They followed up with another championship in 2018, and a three-peat seemed within reach but injuries ripped it away.

Durant eventually left for the Brooklyn Nets, but he would have likely won another two or three championships if he had stayed.

The father of Travis Kelce is piping hot mad. He took to Facebook to post a Daily Mail article spotlighting a lyric on Kanye West’s long-awaited Vultures 2 album with Ty Dolla $ign that mentions Taylor Swift.

Kanye featured a lyrical reference to Taylor Swift’s romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. “I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce,” Lil Wayne raps on the track “Lifestyle (Demo).”

“Mental illness on full display,” Ed wrote in response.

Honestly, those lyrics are quite tame to what we have heard in the past.
