Given her high-profile nature from being a global gymnastics star, anything Simone Biles does is prone to become a trending topic. So it’s no surprise that her love life is constantly under a microscope. Thankfully for boyfriend Jonathan Owens, he’s a professional NFL player and knows what it means to be in the spotlight.
The two met on a dating app in March of 2020, right before the COVID pandemic began, and they then started dating shortly after, leading to their engagement in February of 2022. Biles and Owens were seemingly in love from the get-go, but not everyone was super excited about their relationship.

Simone’s sister, Adria Biles, recently admitted that she wasn’t a fan of Owens dating her sister. Her reasoning had nothing to do with Owens as a person, though.
So when she met Jonathan, I was not happy, I knew he was a good guy and they were great, but I was like, ‘you’re taking my time with her’. And I was so annoyed. To be honest, me and him didn’t get along, I was just like being a brat. Now obviously I love him and he’s like an older brother to me and she loves being married. It was really hard for me.
Adria and Simone have always been close, so it makes sense that the younger sister didn’t want to give up too much alone time with her role model. Although her relationship with Owens may have been rocky at the start, it’s clear that the two have more than ironed out their differences.

Sha’Carri Richardson made sure to remind people that she is still that girl with her performance in the women’s 4×100-meter relay.
Team USA’s women’s relay team will compete in the 4×100-meter final all because Richardson showed why she was made for the big stage.
Sha’Carri Richardson bailed the women out from a near collapse on Thursday in the Olympic 4×100 relay. She overcame a German runner in the anchor leg to help the Americans win their heat and advance to the gold-medal race.
Amid that run, Richardson could be seen staring at Rebekka Haase as she quickly passed her up on the track.
