Ever since Haliey Welch went viral for her “Hawk Tuah” video, she’s become a very polarizing figure in the media.

Some believe that now that the joke is over, people need to stop paying attention to her, and others think it’s smart that she’s milking her fame for as long as possible.

However, after the New York Mets invited her to throw out a ceremonial first pitch, everyone agreed it was a bad idea to invite Welch.

That’s kind of gross, guys. You really think this was good for a game that’s loved by kids?” said one commenter.

This is pathetic, what if a young kid looks up what she’s famous for? Why don’t you get a firefighter or military member to throw out a first pitch?” said another.

Whose idea was this, and why have they not been fired? What an organizational embarrassment,” added a third.

Man with this and then Leto tomorrow, we’re pretty much asking to never win a game again,” commented a fourth.

With the Mets looking to grab one of the three wild card spots, many think this has cursed them out of any chance.

“Hawk Tuah Girl” Continues To Stay In The Spotlight

Usually, when someone goes viral, they stay popular for a few days or even weeks, but things have been different for Hailey Welch and her “Hawk Tuah” video

She has continued to show up in even the most random spots, but she is still gaining much attention. Most recently at the Mets game but also WWE matches and a podcast with Howie Mandell. She has even made it on stage for major concerts to deliver her infamous line.

Many online believe it’s time for her to stop going so viral.

The father of Travis Kelce is piping hot mad. He took to Facebook to post a Daily Mail article spotlighting a lyric on Kanye West’s long-awaited Vultures 2 album with Ty Dolla $ign that mentions Taylor Swift.

Kanye featured a lyrical reference to Taylor Swift’s romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. “I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce,” Lil Wayne raps on the track “Lifestyle (Demo).”

“Mental illness on full display,” Ed wrote in response.

Honestly, those lyrics are quite tame to what we have heard in the past.

Taylor Swift and Kanye West have not been on the same page for years, which started with West interrupting Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
