After two challenging seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers, Russell Westbrook has made a heartfelt transition to the Denver Nuggets. Upon joining his new team, Westbrook recorded a video message to connect with his new fanbase and express his excitement about the move.

Recently, Donovan Mitchell reflected on his rookie season while recalling his admiration for Westbrook. On the ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game’ podcast, Mitchell shared his experience of facing Westbrook for the first time.

“I was a big Russell Westbrook fan when he was dunking on people and he just be walking around screaming… I got to see him on the bench, and he’s doing his little dances, and I’m over here in warmups, like, Alright, bet, where he at… So I see him, and he’s doing all that,” Mitchell said.

He stops and just looks at me and just stares at me… We get into the game… I foul him on a shot fake and go to him like, ‘Good move,’ and he’s like, ‘Who the f**k are you?’. After that, it was all love,” he added.

Oscar Robertson Defends Russell Westbrook Amidst Criticism

Former NBA star Oscar Robertson has expressed frustration over the ongoing criticism directed at Russell Westbrook. In a recent conversation with Clippers beat writer Joey Linn, Robertson spoke out against what he sees as unjust treatment towards Westbrook.

For some strange reason, I don’t know why they want to keep blaming everything that happens on him. When he plays, he is dynamic and gives the team a spark. Then all of a sudden they don’t care for him, they don’t want him,” Robertson said.

Westbrook is coming off a disastrous season averaging 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists.
