Before he announced his retirement, former New York Giants tight end Darren Waller dropped a new song titled Who Knew (Her Perspective) and a video to go along with it that seemed to be targeted towards Kelsey Plum.

Waller dropped the new song and music video following his divorce from Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum.

In his new song, Darren Waller sings about a relationship that did not work out.

“I thought our love was real. Who knew that love could kill?”

“F— what your plans are,” Waller sings. “Go ahead and call off. Tired of your day job. We can go on that dirt road like some kids. We can go play.”

Almost two months later, Waller is now breaking his silence about the song and video.

In his recent appearance on “The Rush with Maxx Crosby” podcast, Waller discussed his latest musical video, entitled, Who Knew [Her Perspective].

Darren Waller explained he was aiming to present himself genuinely and honestly, sharing everything he was experiencing at that moment.

He went on to say: “I was just trying to put myself out there like in an authentic way this is the s**t I’m really going through,” stated Waller. “If I’m going to put something out there that’s authentic to my life in that moment. That was s—t that I was thinking, that was s—t that I was feeling, and put it out there.”

Waller and Plum got married in March 2023 last year, and in just over a year, things would go entirely wrong as they would file for divorce.

Neither one has stated what happened that led to such a short marriage.

Darren Waller Reveals His Side of the Divorce Story With Las Vegas Aces Star Kelsey Plum

Darren Waller and Kelsey Plum both played sports in Las Vegas from 2020-22, before Waller was traded from the Raiders to the Giants.

Things seem to go downhill once that distance was created between them.

Plum posted on social media, alluding to the end of their relationship.

“I’m devastated,” she wrote. “I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go.”

Waller appeared on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, where he spoke on his side and revealed how his personal and professional life had taken a toll on his life.

He mentioned how he lost himself and stopped doing the things that he liked while trying everything to make the relationship work.

Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce all but confirmed that he’ll never come out of retirement after revealing a remarkable offseason body transformation.

Though he was still at the top of his game last year, Jason Kelce decided to hang up the cleats on his illustrious career that will lead to a spot in the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.

Because Kelce was playing at a high level in his age-36 season, many fans can’t help but wonder if he’d come out of retirement and return to the Eagles — especially if they’re in Super Bowl contention.

But during an interview with the Associated Press, Jason Kelce made it clear that a comeback is not happening. Kelce cited that the Eagles won’t be calling him back after his drastic offseason weight loss:

“They’re not going to call me to come back and play center at 260 pounds, and I’m moving on to the next thing and I’m excited to watch Cam (Jurgens). I really think Cam is going to be tremendous this year. He’s going to really show people how great of a player he is.

He was good for us last year at right guard and he’s going to flourish at center. And for me personally, my days of playing are just done and I do not foresee any scenario taking place other than maybe medicine inventing a way to get rid of arthritis that I would ever entertain coming back at all anymore.”
