There is a concerning situation developing in Foxborough this weekend as quarterback Matt Corral has reportedly gone missing from the team for the past two days.

According to NFL insider Jeff Howe, Corral has not shown up to Gillette Stadium for “meetings, walkthroughs, or practices” over the past two days. His absence was unexpected, as one source said, “He just left the team.”

“Let’s just make sure he’s OK,” the source continued. “I don’t know if it’s mental health. I just know he kind of flaked out…Let’s be careful this guy doesn’t get thrown to the wolves.”

Corral has openly talked about his mental health battles in the past, so right now the only thing that matters is that the 2022 third-round pick is safe.

Corral was claimed off waivers by the Patriots less than two weeks ago after being cut by the Carolina Panthers. He was listed as the backup to Mac Jones entering the Patriots’ week one contest against the Eagles, but those plans have obviously changed following the events of the last two days.

Let’s hope we hear some good news on Corral and his whereabouts soon
