Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were the factors that led the Boston Celtics to their glory after years of waiting. The duo impressed the hoop enthusiasts with their strong pairing, while some even tried to pit them against each other.
Even after several remarks, the Boston duo stayed stronger and put up a marvelous fight in the NBA Finals to bag the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Following their victory, Tatum shared a 4-word heartwarming message to Brown, giving a glimpse of their brotherly bond.
Revealing the secret on the “7PM in Brooklyn” show, Tatum said, “I didn’t even get to JB until he got the Finals MVP trophy. And he was like, ‘Yo, I couldn’t have done this without JT’ and we shook hands. I was just like, ‘I love you, bro’. That was the first time we spoke after the buzzer, that was 10-15 minutes later.” (At 21:55 minutes)
Tatum and Brown phenomenally carried the team throughout the season and continued to do the same in the playoffs. Though Tatum didn’t get the MVPs like Brown in the ECF and Finals, he contributed massively in the tournament.
As a veteran NBA analyst pointed out, Tatum supported his teammate on the hardwood but didn’t back him up when Brown got involved in the Nike controversy.
NBA Analyst Speculates Rift Between Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown
After Kawhi Leonard left the USAB Team ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, a vacant spot gave Jaylen Brown the hope that he could be selected. When he didn’t get the opportunity, even after proving himself in the championship win, the swingman blamed Nike.
The brand is one of Tatum’s sponsors, but the 26-year-old didn’t say much about the matter. NBA analyst Skip Bayless observed that and shared his take on “Undisputed.”
Bayless stated, “[Tatum] is a big Nike guy who just came out with his signature shoe. … This smacks of, it smells like Jayson Tatum and Jaylen [Brown] just don’t really get along.”

Bayless could very well have a wrong theory, but Tatum’s silence did appear a bit odd. However, the Celtics forward has joined the other stars to represent the USA Team in the Paris Olympics, which will start at the end of this month.
Caitlin Clark Is Getting Destroyed On Social Media After Her Shady Play During Friday Night’s Win Over The Mercury

Indiana Fever star rookie Caitlin Clark enjoyed another win over Diana Taurasi’s Phoenix Mercury on Friday night with a 20-point, 13-assist performance.
The stat line marked a fifth double-double for the former Iowa guard, who was one assist away from setting a new franchise record.
It appears she tried to get it, too, as she swung a pass to teammate Aliyah Boston at the end of the fourth quarter. Given that Indiana was up by nine points with the clock running out, the decision prompted criticism, with one fan claiming Clark was “trying to stat pad for an assist record.”
Boston missed the jumper, in any case.
