Angel Reese had a wholesome response after being asked about playing on the same team as Caitlin Clark, with both rookies selected as All-Stars this year.

The rivals have faced off three times this season but will become All-Star teammates later this month, and fans are excited to see what they can do together.

In the meantime, Reese has been stacking up double-doubles, having grabbed her 14th consecutive one in a 78-69 Chicago Sky win over the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday. She made an appearance on ESPN’s ‘NBA Today’ after the game and, at one point, was asked about teaming up with Clark.

“It’s going to be really cool,” she said. “I know so many fans are going to come out to watch both of us. I know a lot of people are going to be able to come to Phoenix. I’m sure it’s already sold out.

“We’re going to be playing together for a while, so it’s not gonna be the [last] time,” Reese predicted. “I know we’ll be All-Stars again. Hopefully 2028, we’ll be Olympians together, too.”

Angel Reese Is Focused On Making The Playoffs

Angel Reese also revealed that she plans to head to Paris to watch the Summer Olympics, with the WNBA to take a break after the All-Star Game on July 20 and resume on August 15.

She and Clark will rekindle their rivalry when the league resumes play at the end of the Olympics. They’re battling it out for the Rookie of the Year Award, with both of them making compelling cases. However, Reese claims her focus is on the playoffs.

“My teammates always say stuff about it, but I really try to have tunnel vision and focus on what the thing is,” she remarked. “Getting into the playoffs is something I want to do.”

NBA Fans Were Shocked Over Team USA’s Decision to Bench Jayson Tatum and Kevin Durant in the 1st Match

The USA Team selected all the star players for the Paris Olympics, which ultimately made it difficult for them to prepare the roster. As there are only five spots for the starting lineup, upsetting the basketball community by not including the ones they were expecting is quite natural. When the roster for the pre-Olympics exhibition game was disclosed, the fans were stunned to not find Kevin Durant and Jayson Tatum’s names on it.

The head coach Steve Kerr selected Steph Curry, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, LeBron James and Joel Embiid as the starters for the game against Canada at the T-Mobile Arena. While Durant and an excited Tatum remained on the bench on Wednesday night.

By leaving the two outstanding scorers out for the game, the USAB Team’s organization amazed the basketball lovers. The fans gathered on social media X (FKA Twitter) to express their disappointment about not seeing Durant and Tatum in the first game.

An astonished fan wrote, “Holiday over Tatum” with an emoji to show his emotion.

While another mockingly added, “Tatum getting his chain snatched by another teammate”.
