Alex Rodriguez seemingly had to get something off of his chest after his ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck.
Hours after Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, her ex-fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, posted a cryptic quote on Instagram.
The baseball legend wrote on Aug. 20, “You either go one way or the other, you might as well be the one deciding the direction.”
Rodriguez’s social media activity has many believing it’s a subliminal message to Jennifer Lopez, who broke up with him before she got back with Ben Affleck.
The message on A-Rod’s Instagram story was suspiciously posted around the time we broke the news that Lopez officially ended her marriage.
Jennifer Lopez ended her two-year engagement to Alex Rodriguez weeks before she rekindled her romance with Affleck in 2021.
It should be noted that since their split, the former New York Yankees star has kept things cordial.
In October 2022, he noted his time with J-Lo by stating, “With Jennifer, look, it was a good experience, and I wish her and the children—who are smart, and beautiful and wonderful—I wish them the very best.”
Alex Rodriguez Is Currently Dating Jaclyn Cordeiro
Jennifer Lopez might be single now due to her impending divorce, but it does not look like there will be any rekindling with Alex Rodriguez since he has been dating Jaclyn Cordeiro.
According to Page Six, the former New York Yankee and the Canadian fitness instructor were first romantically linked in October 2022.
Prior to his relationship with Cordeiro, Rodriguez dated fitness model Kathryne Padgett, but that did not last very long.
Rodriguez is also a father to two daughters, Natasha and Ella, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis.
There were rumors at the time that Alex Rodriguez had cheated on J-Lo, so the likelihood of them rekindling might not have happened anyway.

The United States Army is looking for a refund cheque from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and the UFL after giving him millions in the hopes of ramping up enrollment and getting zilch.
The former WWE star turned actor and football league owner was one of the investors who made a $15 million grab at the XFL’s rights after its second debut failed in 2020. The league came back for a third time, kicking off again in 2023. It has since merged with the USFL to become the UFL, so it’s actually had a fourth debut in 2024.
While it managed a decent 812,000 viewers during the regular season, the UFL can’t claim to be a top American league just yet, although it has attracted sponsors with deep pockets, including Uncle Sam.
The league predicted it would generate about $100 million in revenue this past season, but there’s been no update, so we can’t be sure they reached that goal. But the U.S. Army did contribute $11 million to the cause.
