Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs opened up their season and the NFL’s on Thursday Night Football in week one as they took on the Baltimore Ravens in the high-flying offensive showdown, and of course, Taylor Swift was in attendance.

The Chiefs took the week one victory 27-20, and Swift and Kelce were eager to celebrate the win. They enjoyed a weekend date in Brooklyn before attending the US Open, and fans enjoyed the couple’s outings.

Some fans, however, have been wondering about the couples’ dynamic, including what they say and how they speak to each other. It now looks as though one tiktokker named Jackie has answered that question. But it was more focused on the pop star.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes attended the US Open with his wife, Brittany Mahomes, and his teammate Travis. Swift and Kelce lipsynced to some songs together, yet the singer seemed to interact with the Quarterback, asking if he knew where they were and who was playing. Mahomes said he knew the place but not the players.

There was also a moment when Swift took a photo of a couple kissing in front of her. “Kiss… do it again,” Swift said. While handing the phone back to the couple, she made a hilarious remark, stating, “Here you go, that was gross.”

The lip reading was quite impressive, but it doesn’t look like Swift was very knowledgeable about the sport of tennis. She also didn’t seem too thrilled with the kiss that the couple shared in front of her.

The Chiefs are set to take on the Bengals in week two, and Swift’s Era’s Tour doesn’t kick back off till October when she is set to perform at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, so it’s entirely possible that we see her at a few more Chiefs games between now and then.

NFL Fans Thought Mike Tirico Made A Sneaky Taylor Swift Reference During The Ravens-Chiefs Kickoff Game On Thursday Night

Fans thought NBC’s Mike Tririco made a cheeky Taylor Swift reference during the NFL’s kickoff game on Thursday night.

The Kansas City Chiefs lined up against their AFC Championship Game opponents from last season, the Baltimore Ravens, in an opening fixture that did not disappoint. Taylor Swift was in attendance to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, much like she did many times last season.

Tirico, who called the game for NBC alongside Cris Collinsworth, seemed to reference Swift’s former relationship with Harry Styles while announcing that the game would be delayed because of inclement weather.

“Game delayed some 20 minutes because of weather … not out of the woods for showers for the rest of the night,” he said, per Newsweek.

“Out of the Woods” happens to be the title of a Taylor Swift song thought to be about her past relationship with Styles. So, while Tirico’s comment could have been innocent, the internet wondered whether he meant it.

“THEY JUST SAID OUT OF THE WOODS HELP,” one fan tweeted.

“Okay, @MikeTirico WE NEED TO KNOW — was that an intentional Out of the Woods reference at the #Chiefs game tn or….?” another asked.

“Okay but did he say out of the woods because Swiftism or just because it’s a saying,” someone commented.

‘”Not out of the woods for showers for the rest of the night,’ I’m sorry but I laughed even if it wasn’t intentional,” another comment read.

“Tirico with an Out of the Woods reference #weareback,” someone added.

“Mike Tirico with a sneaky Taylor Swift “Out Of The Woods” reference!” a user wrote.

Taylor Swift Was Thoroughly Entertained

We may never know whether this was intentional by Mike Tirico. But Taylor Swift got to enjoy a great opening win, with the Chiefs hanging on for a 27-20 result.

Lamar Jackson thought he found Isaiah Likely for a touchdown as time expired in the fourth quarter, but replays showed that the tight end had a toe on the line when he landed, rubbing out the score.

The Chiefs will be going into their second game of the season with a satisfactory 1-0 start after losing their opener to the Detroit Lions last year.

This one really was a game of inches.
