Tom Brady may have announced his second retirement from football 18 months ago, but what would the NFL offseason be without speculation that he may un-retire yet again?

The 47-year-old Tom Brady is gearing up to begin his new career as an NFL analyst for FOX Sports. If he’s seriously considering retiring again, the seven-time Super Bowl champion will have to land a contract soon with the 2024 NFL season now just three weeks away from kickoff.

The MLFootball X/Twitter account made some interesting observations and speculated about Brady potentially returning to play for the Minnesota Vikings.

The NFC North team lost prized rookie signal-caller JJ McCarthy for the year after he underwent surgery on a torn meniscus. As MLFootball notes, Brady could be interested in a Minnesota team that has a star-studded offense led by Justin Jefferson and a quality defense coached by Brian Flores:

So naturally, some fans can’t help but wonder if Tom Brady would really put the analyst career on hold and suit up for a 24th season:

For what it’s worth, Brady did say back in April that he’s “not opposed to” a possible comeback. But that was weeks before the 2024 NFL Draft, so most QB-needy teams have since filled their voids

That said, the Vikings do make sense as a landing spot for Brady if there is mutual interest. There wouldn’t be many better-supporting casts for him than the one Minnesota offers, led by Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and TJ Hockenson.

Tom Brady Still Had It In 2022

The seven-time Super Bowl champion showed that he could still play at a high level in 2022, completing 66.8 percent of his pass attempts for 4,694 yards and 25 touchdowns against only nine interceptions.

Brady had a lackluster offensive line, rushing game and defense that year, but he still did enough to will the Bucs to another NFC South division crown. So yes, he is more than capable of producing with a star-studded Minnesota team.
