Patrick Mahomes reveals Taylor Swift has been ‘drawing up plays’ for the Chiefs: ‘We might have to put one in’

Look out, Coach Reid.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed Taylor Swift, who is famously dating his teammate Travis Kelce, has given her two cents on the game plays they should do this upcoming season.

“She’s really interested in football, she asks a lot of great questions,” the Super Bowl champ, 28, said of the pop superstar, 34, on “NFL on NBC” Thursday.

She’s already drawing up plays so we might have to put one in.”
Swift’s love of football was perhaps first sparked by her father, Scott Swift, who’s been a longtime Philadelphia Eagles fan.

The “Fortnight” singer appeared to become a much more avid follower of the sport, however, last September when she started attending more football games to support Kelce, 34.

Throughout last season, Swift was spotted going to several games across the country and she even made the lengthy 12-hour trip from touring in Japan to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl in February.

At the big game, the Grammy winner used her sports knowledge to help pal Ice Spice understand what was going on, as she was “I honestly would just wait until Taylor cheered, and then I’m like, ‘Yay!’” the “Barbie World” rapper, 24, recently admitted on the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
very confused throughout most of the event.
Mahomes — who was recently hanging with Swift and Kelce at the former’s mansion in Rhode Island — praised the “Love Story” singer for bringing more female fans to the NFL.

“I think it’s been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football,” the athlete further explained on “NFL on NBC.”

“I know, being a girl-dad, how cool it is for me. I mean, to see, like, these little girls, these daughters how much they’re loving and spending time with their dad watching football.”

Swift was credited last year with being responsible for spiking a major increase in the NFL’s ratings.
For instance, after she attended a Chiefs versus Jets game last October alongside her A-list crew of friends, including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, viewership soared.
A Storyful newsletter reportedly showed at the time that Swift helped bring in 27 million viewers for that particular game, which was a 22 percent rise from the year prior’s Week 4 matchup.

The Chiefs will kick off their 2024 regular season on Sept. 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.

It has not yet been confirmed whether Swift will be in attendance, but the “You Belong With Me” singer is expected to continue to cheer on Kelce at several games this coming season.
