One Piece‘s Luffy and many of his Straw Hat crew have assembled in a stunning and unofficial crossover with Marvel, with some of the most striking statues shared online in quite some time. The legality differences between the Eastern and Western pop culture worlds have made official crossover between beloved franchises like One Piece‘s superpower pirates and Marvel‘s band of heroes nearly impossible, but that did not stop fans in the Philippines from creating stunning figures of One Piece characters dressed and themed as Marvel‘s coolest cast members.
The stories featuring Marvel’s Avengers and the epic that is Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece are drastically different in many ways. Still, each is filled with iconic characters, weapons, and costumes that work shockingly well when combined, as fans can see from an incredible discovery by Reddit user Charming-Bobcast-8144 while shopping at a mall in the Philippines.
The pictures showcase eleven different statues with custom designs depicting One Piece characters like Luffy, Zoro, Perona, and more in dramatic poses while wearing iconic Marvel character outfits. Some feature the pirates posing like the heroes they are dressed as, while others are far more extravagant with massive weapons that the Straw Hats can’t help but inject their vibrant personalities onto.

One Piece’s Final Arcs Contain Several Avenger-Level Threats
Straw Hat Captain Luffy looks excellent in the Captain America outfit, and so does Robin as Captain Marvel and Nami as Black Widow. However, the most extravagant statue is arguably the Iron Man Franky, who is easily the most enormous figure on display with the impressively detailed armor opening up all over the body of One Piece‘s genius inventor and shipwright. Jinbe as Doctor Strange and Chopper’s Monster Point hulking out are also impressive but a personal favorite among the Reddit comments was easily Zoro dressed as Thor, complete with three Mjölnir hammers, with one being held in his teeth.
The post shares a few other beloved One Piece characters dressed as Marvel heroes, but unfortunately, there is no easy way for fans to purchase the statues for themselves. According to Reddit, the images were taken at the Green Hills Mall in the Philippines, where the impressive crossover statues may or may not still be available. However, because of their quality, there may be some hardcore fans of both One Piece and Marvel who feel inspired enough to make the journey to claim their own statue.

Because of tricky copywriting laws, it would be incredibly difficult for franchises as lucrative as Marvel and One Piece to widely distribute something like what Reddit user Charming-Bobcast-8144 discovered. It’s infrequent to see any official crossover between Japanese and American properties of such high profile. However, with anime like Suicide Squad Isekai opening the door wider to the idea of iconic franchises receiving more attention worldwide, there could come a day when an official One Piece and Marvel crossover occurs.
