John Cena’s recent return to WWE marked his longest tenure in over six years, bringing joy to fans who welcomed his frequent appearances on WWE television.

Although his run essentially concluded after Crown Jewel last year, it’s important to highlight that Cena’s involvement in wrestling is far from over. With that said, it appears a former WWE writer believes John Cena doesn’t need to appear at WrestleMania 40.

John Cena faced Solo Sikoa at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia. Despite his status as the Leader of Cenation, Cena was systematically dismantled and brutalized by the young Samoan, ultimately losing the match. Following the defeat, Cena hinted at retirement, prompting speculation about his future in wrestling.

In case you didn’t know, fans are hoping John Cena will appear at WrestleMania 40 after he confirmed his status for the event.

When discussing the potential return of The Cenation Leader for The Showcase of the Immortals, Vince Russo touched upon the issue of certain pro wrestlers extending their careers beyond their prime solely because of their love for the business.

On Sportskeeda’s Writing with Russo, Vince Russo delved into why John Cena used to engage in this behavior previously and how it could have adverse effects on his future endeavors.
“Let’s face it, John Cena does not need to do this. But like in the past, and Cena would be the one to always say this, why did he do these things in the past? Loyalty to Vince. He always said that, like when Vince needed Cena, he called Cena and Cena could not say no. Well it’s not about that anymore. So now if guys like John Cena still do this, you really are starting to see that like, very few people can just walk away from it.”

John Cena also admitted that he is waiting for an invite to WrestleMania 40. We’ll have to wait and see what John Cena will even do at the Show of Shows in the end.
