Tom Brady’s post-divorce life appears to be taking a toll on him, with sources revealing that the football icon is struggling with loneliness and self-pity.
While his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen enjoys a luxurious holiday in Costa Rica with her new partner, Joaquim Valente, and their children, Brady, 47, is finding it difficult to move on, feeling left out and “sorry for himself.”
The former power couple’s lives are now in stark contrast to one another. While Brady is focused on work and adjusting to life without his family, Gisele is thriving in her new relationship and soaking up the sun with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim, 35.
According to an exclusive source, Brady is still not dating anyone, and his sense of isolation is evident.
“He’s not dating anyone and he’s feeling a little lonely,” the source shared with In Touch.
“Meanwhile, Gisele is enjoying a holiday in Costa Rica with Joaquim, and she’s got the kids. Tom has to work, and he’s feeling left out.”
Tom and Gisele’s relationship started in 2007 when Brady was an up-and-coming NFL star and Gisele was an international supermodel. Their romance faced early challenges when Brady’s ex, Bridget Moynahan, announced she was pregnant with his child just a month into his relationship with Gisele.
Despite initial hesitation, Gisele chose to stay, and together they built a family with two children: son Benjamin in 2009 and daughter Vivian in 2012.
However, after 13 years of marriage, Tom and Gisele announced their divorce in October 2022.
“In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together,” Brady wrote in his divorce statement. He acknowledged that the split was painful but noted that it was a reality many people face.
Gisele has moved on whilst Tom has faced challenges
Post-divorce, Gisele quickly moved on with Joaquim Valente, her 35-year-old jiu-jitsu instructor, with whom she is now expecting a child. Meanwhile, Tom briefly dated model Irina Shayk, though that relationship fizzled out.
This shift in their lives has been difficult for Tom, especially as Gisele’s new relationship continues to flourish. Tom’s reaction to the news of Gisele’s pregnancy was telling – he posted a cryptic Instagram story featuring a sunset and three red heart emojis, set to Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide.”
For Tom, the holiday season is proving difficult. While he plans to see his children around Christmas, the holiday atmosphere won’t be the same as it was during his marriage to Gisele. Sources reveal that Tom’s personal challenges are affecting his chances in the dating world.
One insider noted that Tom’s current demeanor is not helping his appeal.

“He’d be more popular with women if he wasn’t so awkward,” the source said. “They lose interest fast. He doesn’t realize he’s the problem, he’s so self-absorbed and self-pitying and not what you’d call a romantic guy.”
“A lot of people think he’d have a better chance with the ladies if he stopped feeling sorry for himself and watching what Gisele’s doing all the time.”
