Novak Djokovic is undoubtedly one of the best in tennis. The feats he claimed over the years is not everyone’s cup of tea.
Besides, the 24-time Grand Slam winner is quite popular for being a family man. Djokovic is often found spending quality time with his wife and two kids.
Let’s be honest, no one in their right mind would want to stay away from their family. Djokovic spoke on a similar situation, as he mentions his dire condition every time he has to say goodbye to his family. In his words: “There are always good & bad days. Sometimes it is easier to go through pain & sometimes more difficult. I am lucky to have my family & team to travel with me & support me when things get tough. They are my biggest inspiration & their love makes me stronger.”
However, his dedication is quite commendable as he acknowledges the sacrifices. He also talks about how winning is not just a want but a need for him. It is the reward he must attain to make things fair for his family.
“As a person, again, balance of the private and professional life is the key,” he said. “I mean, obviously it’s different for everyone. We’re all different individuals. This is a very demanding sport with high travel intensity throughout the year.”
“You have to play worldwide, which is beautiful, which allows us to travel the world, play in front of many different people and nations. At the same time it separates you from the family and from the dear ones,” Djokovic added.
