Maria Sharapova has been enjoying some bikini beach time in Hawaii over New year.
The currently suspended professional tennis player, 29, showed off her rock hard abs over the weekend as she frolicked on the island of Lanai.
The Russian blonde looked stunning in the tiny black two-piece that revealed almost all of her well-toned physique.
Maria is serving out the term of a drug ban imposed by the International Tennis Federation in June, back-dated to January.
Just last month, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced the length of her suspension from two years to 15 months making her eligible to start playing professional tennis again from April 25.
She’s clearly decided to make the most of her down time and get in some R&R while at the same time keeping herself fit and trim for her comeback.
On Monday, the tennis pro showed off her newly cut and highlighted hair as she shared a bikini snap to her Instagram.
She’d previously shared a photo of herself getting her hair done on New Year’s Eve with the caption: ‘Because why not?’
She’s been enjoying the great outdoors in Hawaii, posting several snaps of the stunning scenery over the past few days to her social media.
But her vacation getaway came to an end Tuesday as she shared with her followers that she’s now back in New York City.
The six-feet two-inch multiple Grand Slam winner has numerous endorsements and often models for high profile luxury brands.
Maria has not played professionally since testing positive for meldonium at the Australian Open in March 2016.
She argued she had been using a Latvian-made heart disease drug under medical advice for a decade and had not realized it had been added to the World Anti-Doping Agency’s banned list on January 1, 2016.
But an ITF disciplinary panel dismissed this explanation, pointing out meldonium had been on WADA’s ‘watch list’ of controversial drugs for over a year and there had been numerous warnings to athletes about it becoming prohibited in late 2015.
Once her ban ends, it’s expected she’ll be back on the courts to compete at the French Open in May.
