Penn State has reportedly closed its investigation into the incident involving Jason Kelce early last month.
The former NFL star was at the center of controversy after he grabbed a phone from a Nittany Lions fan, believed to be a student, and smashed it ahead of a game at Beaver Stadium on November 2.
The fan, who had been heckling Kelce, crossed the line with the ex-offensive lineman when he used a homophobic slur in reference to Travis Kelce, Jason’s younger brother.
TMZ has reported that the ESPN analyst won’t be facing any charges, citing a spokesperson who told them the case is being closed as the fan in question did not come forward, nor was he identified.
“The individual in the video footage circulating on social media has not been identified, and no one has come forward to University Police with a related complaint about damage to personal property,” they told the outlet.

Jason Kelce Expressed Regret Over His Actions
The fan appeared to be incensed after Kelce smashed his phone; that he didn’t make a report comes as a surprise. Of course, it’s possible that they handled the matter privately.
Jason addressed the incident on ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Countdown’ after videos went viral, claiming he wasn’t proud of what he’d done and would be better.
“I’m not happy with anything that took place,” he said. “I’m not proud of it. And in a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I just don’t think that’s a productive thing. I really don’t. I don’t think it leads to discourse and it’s the right way to go about things. In that moment, I fell down to a level that I shouldn’t have.”
ESPN has also decided not to punish the former center following the incident.
VIDEO: Cameras Caught Jason Kelce Dangerously Flipping His Eagles Helmet Golf Cart While Driving Wildly Around Philly

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce was seen driving around a sick football helmet-shaped golf cart in public, presumably for a commercial.
It’s not exactly clear why Jason Kelce was driving around the streets in a golf cart with his beloved Mummers costume on. But based on the setup and the whole golf cart thing, we’ll go ahead and guess that it was for commercial purposes.
Several folks in the area shared videos and photos of Kelce driving around in the Eagles-themed cart. At the end of one video, the car flips over in what appeared to be a botched stunt:

As there weren’t any reports or comments about him being injured, we’ll assume Jason Kelce is just fine. And soon enough, we should find out what exactly the golf cart thing was all about.
The 37-year-old Kelce announced his retirement after a 13-year career with the Eagles. The seven-time Pro Bowl center led the Eagles to a Super Bowl 52 championship (the franchise’s first) in the 2017 season and got them back to the big dance in his penultimate 2022 season.
Like younger brother Travis Kelce, Jason will enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Along with his Super Bowl 52 championship ring, Jason was a six-time First-team All-Pro and a two-time Second-team All-Pro.
Jason Kelce Remains Busy In Post-Football Life
Soon after he retired, Kelce was signed by ESPN to provide coverage on their “Monday Night Countdown” program. Additionally, he co-hosts the popular “New Heights” podcast with Travis.
In the summer, the Kelce brothers signed a massive podcast deal with Amazon worth over $100 million. The podcast has seen a significant surge in popularity ever since Travis began dating Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift.
