Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill recently faced a devastating incident before the Dolphins’ season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The 30-year-old was arrested by Miami-Dade police after a brief argument with the officers. While many fans and players have reacted to the incident, Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Karl-Anthony Towns also shared his thoughts on the NFL star’s arrest.

In a recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Towns, who was recently spotted in Vegas with Paul George, expressed his disappointment with the Miami police. The four-time NBA All-Star mentioned that the incident was disturbing and disgusting and asked the question of what would happen if a normal person had done the same.

“That @cheetah police video is not only disturbing, but disgusting. Like he said, what would’ve happen if he wasn’t who he is?” Towns mentioned in his latest post on X.

The incident took place outside Hard Rock Stadium. Hill was driving his car when the officers stopped him. After opening the window, the Miami-Dade Police asked the 30-year-old to provide his license. They had a brief argument, which escalated to an arrest when the officers pulled Hill out of the car.

Hill’s teammate, Calais Campbell, was also present during the incident and tried to calm the situation. However, the officers arrested him because he tried to defend Hill. Later, Miami-Dade Police Department Director Stephanie V. Daniels mentioned that the officers were under investigation.

Fans Hold Contrasting Opinions on Towns’ Post

While many fans have already shown their anger over the officers’ behavior, several other fans also criticized Hill because of his attitude towards the officers. Many fans started criticizing Hill in the comment section of Towns’ post.

One fan said he had a better question than Towns: “What would’ve happened if he followed the officers’ instructions? Answer: nothing.”

Meanwhile, another fan said, “That shouldn’t play a factor at all. He’s not above the law. Going 105 in a 50? C’mon. If it was any normal person they’d be in jail. He’s lucky to get off like he did. And normal people would’ve just complied.”

Another fan questioned Towns, “Do you really not see that tyreek had an equal part in this situation. Both parties acted like idiots. What you people say about this?be real.”

According to StatMuse, Towns averaged 21.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 62 games in the 2023-24 season. He was selected to play in his fourth All-Star Game. The Timberwolves star’s reaction has garnered the attention of several fans, and it will be fascinating to see if any player or analyst will join the fans in reacting to Towns’ post.

Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce all but confirmed that he’ll never come out of retirement after revealing a remarkable offseason body transformation.

Though he was still at the top of his game last year, Jason Kelce decided to hang up the cleats on his illustrious career that will lead to a spot in the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.

Because Kelce was playing at a high level in his age-36 season, many fans can’t help but wonder if he’d come out of retirement and return to the Eagles — especially if they’re in Super Bowl contention.

But during an interview with the Associated Press, Jason Kelce made it clear that a comeback is not happening. Kelce cited that the Eagles won’t be calling him back after his drastic offseason weight loss:

“They’re not going to call me to come back and play center at 260 pounds, and I’m moving on to the next thing and I’m excited to watch Cam (Jurgens). I really think Cam is going to be tremendous this year. He’s going to really show people how great of a player he is.

He was good for us last year at right guard and he’s going to flourish at center. And for me personally, my days of playing are just done and I do not foresee any scenario taking place other than maybe medicine inventing a way to get rid of arthritis that I would ever entertain coming back at all anymore.”
