The Kansas City Chiefs‘ quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, revealed Taylor Swift got Travis Kelce got the tight end to do one life-changing decision that his NFL teammate couldn’t make him do, despite trying for years.
Kelce takes his looks seriously, although he still does try to have fun with it too yet his hair. That was something he hadn’t budged on for years until dating the Eras Tour star, with their relationship beginning around September 2023 and with that came a revolution.

“I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out,” Mahomes told SiriusXM NFL Radio (Ch. 88). “And all of a sudden Taylor gets him to do it.”
Kelce will debut the new-look hair when he faces the Baltimore Ravens on the opening night of the 2024/25 NFL season on September 5, in a rematch of the AFC Conference Championship game that they won 17-10.
There, the Chiefs will look to win a third successive Super Bowl to become the first team to ever do so, after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 and the San Francisco 49ers in 2024.
Why does Kelce have the new hair?
Kelce‘s traditional style was a simple buzzcut, excellent for the summer months in the United States but this year he’s switched it up and has grown it out showing that there’s actually quite a lot of hair to use when he wants to.
Intriguingly, Swift did like Kelce‘s buzzcut, and we’ll need to find out whether she’s on board with the longer approach he’s rocking as he returns to NFL training ahead of the latest season of his career.
