The battle to save the Jujutsu world from the King of Curses’ terror has been going through its last moments in Jujutsu Kaisen. Gege Akutami, the creator of the series, recently revealed that they would end the manga series soon, and the spoilers of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 268 have hinted that they have started the conclusion as Sukuna has been finally stopped.
Spoilers of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 268 reveal that Yuji Itadori, with the help of Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki, managed to take down Sukuna and free his friend. Just like he promised, he won the battle against the King of Curses, bringing an end to the battle that was going on for far too long. But this is not good news for Sukuna fans.
While Sukuna’s end was bound to come one way or another, Jujutsu Kaisen fans did not expect him to fade away in such a manner. He was one of the strongest and most dangerous antagonists in the history of anime and manga, but his death became a little too boring for his stature.
The Shinjuku Showdown Has Finally Ended
Ryomen Sukuna, also known as the King of Curses, has been fighting Jujutsu Sorcerers nonstop for almost 50 chapters. He has taken down some of the heavy hitters like Gojo Satoru and Hiromi Higuruma without even breaking a sweat. At one point, fans started believing that no one would be able to take him down.
However, chapter 267 pointed out that Sukuna still had one finger missing, and this would prove to be his biggest disadvantage. Nobara Kugisaki, who made a return in the last chapter, used her resonance technique to weaken Sukuna’s connection with Megumi’s body. On the other side, Yuji, who has been fighting Sukuna for so long, decided to capitalize on this opportunity and finally end Sukuna’s reign.

He used another Black Flash at the exact moment, further weakening Sukuna’s clutch. Inside his body, Sukuna is seen having a conversation with Megumi as he tries to take control of his body back. After a deep conversation, Sukuna’s reincarnation is undone, and his residuals are lying on the floor, confirming the end of the King of Curses.
The Mediocre Ending of Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen
Sukuna was supposed to be the epitome of terror. Being the strongest jujutsu sorcerer from over a thousand years ago, he certainly lived up to all the titles that were given to him over the course of Jujutsu Kaisen. Therefore, fans expected his ending to be as big as his introduction was.

While the current ending of the King of Curses portrayed by Gege Akutami in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 268 is understandable, it still does not justify the image that Sukuna had built over the years.
In fact, many even believed that Sukuna might just win the final battle, bringing a dark ending to the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
However, there are still a few chapters left, and Sukuna’s final words do not sound much like his conclusion. Therefore, fans still have hope, as nothing is so simple with Akutami and Sukuna. They might just pull the biggest twist in the history of anime and manga and make Jujutsu Kaisen live up to its name of a dark shonen story.
