These elections are far from typical, especially with Donald Trump involved. The political landscape has been anything but ordinary, from the attempted assassination to Donal Trump in July, to President Joe Biden’s resignation from the Democratic candidacy, followed by the theories around Biden’s healthafter contracting COVID-19. Now, Vice President Kamala Harris steps in as the Democratic candidate, while Elon Musk openly supports Trump, Trump returns to X (formerly Twitter) after three years, and Brittany Mahomes publicly backs Trump, potentially stirring tension with Taylor Swift.

Philadelphia Eagles: Public Democrats?

In a recent post shared by a user on X, an ad was spotted at a bus stop in Philadelphia featuring Kamala Harris dressed in an Eagles helmet and uniform with a caption that reads, “Official candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles.” This seemed odd because while Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie may lean Democrat, it’s unlikely he’d express it this way due to the potential backlash from fans. It’s a risky move that could cost more than it gains. Although Governor Josh Shapiro is a Democrat, it’s unclear if he had any influence on the bus stop ad, considering these spaces are managed by the Philadelphia government.

Eagles Respond to the Advertisement

Most reactions to the ad were negative, prompting the Eagles to quickly deny any association with it, stating they “are working with our advertising partner to have them removed.” It’s likely someone will be fired over this mishap. The Eagles wouldn’t risk aligning themselves with any candidate so blatantly. The situation is further complicated by Brittany Mahomes’ recent public support for Trump, to which she responded, “Honestly, I don’t give a f*** what people have to say about me anymore.” Adding fuel to the fire, Taylor Swift, a rumored Democrat born in Pennsylvania whose brother-in-law Jason Kelce has played his entire career with the Eagles, has sparked more speculation about potential “beef” between the two. The Eagles are undoubtedly doing everything they can to take down these ads.

Eagles’ Upcoming Season

The Eagles are set to kick off their season with an unprecedented game in São Paulo, Brazil, against the Green Bay Packers this Friday, a day after the season opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. This matchup features powerful offenses that are expected to lead their divisions and make playoff runs. After that, the Eagles have a Monday night home game against the revamped Atlanta Falcons, followed by a trip to New Orleans, the next Super Bowl host city, and then to Tampa Bay, the team that eliminated them last season. It’s a tough four-week stretch, but with an offense led by Saquon Barkley, despite the absence of Jason Kelce, they remain a formidable threat this season.

For Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, the real challenge lies in history. Out of 36 quarterbacks who lost in their Super Bowl debut, only six managed to return to the big game, none in this century. This year’s starting quarterbacks in similar situations include Brock Purdy, Hurts, Joe BurrowJared Goff, and Jimmy Garoppolo. The big question is: can Hurts make it back to the Super Bowl before the others?

The 2024 Paris Olympics was Stephen Curry’s first ever appearance in the Paris Olympics. The Golden State Warriors star poured so much athleticism into his first appearance on the international stage that caught everyone’s attention, including popular NBA analyst Skip Bayless.

After Team USA’s 98-87 victory over France in the Olympics final, LeBron James was crowned with the MVP title of the tournament. Soon after that, Bayless stirred controversy by posting on social media that LeBron should not win the MVP title. Rather, the sports analyst sees Curry as the real winner of the title.

I’M SORRY, NOW THERE’S NO WAY LEBRON IS MVP. IT HAS TO BE STEPH. 17 THREES IN THE SEMI AND THE FINAL. WE WOULD NOT HAVE WON EITHER WITHOUT HIM,” Bayless wrote in an X post.

Curry scored 24 points in the final game against France. With his outstanding shooting skills, the Warriors star hit eight three-pointers, three of which came in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. On the other hand, James contributed 14 points and 10 assists and shot an impressive 60% from the field.
