Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese continue to light up the WNBA in their rookie seasons, with both women making strong cases to take home the Rookie of the Year Award.

Someone who knows a thing or two about having a strong first season is Carmelo Anthony. The former NBA star was a key figure for the Denver Nuggets during his rookie campaign, winning several Western Conference Rookie of the Month awards.

However, in the end he came up short, with LeBron James taking the award. Now, WNBA fans are wondering if we’ll see a similar battle between Clark and Reese, or if two rookies could share the award like Jason Kidd and Grant Hill did in 1995.

Former Lakers player doesn’t want to see award shared

Lou Williams has shared his thoughts on the Rookie of the Year race. The former Los Angeles Laker and 3x Sixth Man of the Year award would rather see the award given to one player.

“I don’t want it to be Co. cuz I think that’s like, for lack of a better term, I think that’s some b**** a** s**t like for the women. Like stand on the decision right. You don’t want everything to be cookie cutter like, ‘Oh they’re both playing well,'” he said on ‘The Underground Lounge’ podcast.

“Start standing on business. We represent the best of the best. We’re doing the best of the best that we can and that’s who’s gonna be celebrated. So we can make those uncomfortable decisions no matter how controversial they will be all.

“I want to see that for the women’s game. But I honestly feel like this is one of the scenarios where you explored it.”

There have only been three occasions when the Rookie of the Year award was shared. Geoff Petrie and Dave Cowens shared the honors in 1970/71, then Kidd and Hill shared it in 1994 while Elton Brand and Steve Francis did the same in 1999.

Sydney Sweeney caused a major stir online a few days ago, posting some incredibly racy pics to Instagram that have since attracted well over four million likes.

The actress shared some images of herself hanging out on a boat in a tight black and white wetsuit that showed off her backside. Three of the photos gave users a great look at said body part while another one showed her covering her face while laughing. The last one shows her chilling with friends.

“i think they call this a thirst trap,” she wrote as the caption.
