On the latest episode of her podcast “Unapologetically Angel,” Reese made it clear that height was an important consideration in her dating preferences.

During the podcast, her guest, singer Coco Jones asked the 6-foot-4 WNBA icon if she would date “a short guy.” Reese shook her head and said:

“No. No. I don’t know…”

The Chicago Sky forward then tried to qualify her answer, perhaps leaving the door open for romantic partners who aren’t exactly towering.

“I have not [dated guys who are shorter than me]. Let me just say I haven’t.”

As Reese and Jones further explored the topic, Reese said:

“I hear short guys treat you better.”

Jones, who stands 5-foot-9 and claims to have dated shorter guys, replied:

“They got a lot to prove.”

The WNBA star then mentioned another preference:

“I like a man that’s not too cute. Don’t be too cute—you shouldn’t be taking the selfie before me.”

Angel Reese open about her past relationships and rumours

Ever since Reese emerged as a basketball star in her college days, her love life has been placed under scrutiny. In 2023, Reese started dating 6-foot-7 hooper Cam’Ron Fletcher, whom she’d known for six years. At the time, Fletcher was playing for the Florida State Seminoles after spending a year at Kentucky.

The two, however, called it quits in March 2024, as confirmed by Reese on Instagram Live. Just months after their breakup, rumors swirled about a romance budding between Reese and NBA megastar Kevin Durant. The two were spotted sitting next to each other during a Team USA game at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

She cleared these rumors on the very first episode of “Unapologetically Angel.”

“That was never a thing,” she said. “I don’t even know how that even became a thing, ’cause I sat next to somebody…KD has literally been my favorite player since I was a kid and is still my favorite player.”

Based on the comments she’s made thus far in her podcast, Reese appears to be single.
