Cameras caught a priceless interaction between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Los Angeles Chargers safety Derwin James in their ‘Sunday Night Football’ clash in Week 14.
Derwin James has frequently matched up with Travis Kelce since entering the NFL as a rookie. The All-Pro safety has given Kelce his fair share of fits, but the Chiefs have dominated this rivalry with seven straight victories.
On Wednesday, the Chargers’ X/Twitter account shared a montage of a mic’d up James from the thrilling ‘SNF’ clash. It included several conversations with Kelce, including one part where James complained to an official about the tight end pushing him off.
The best part about this? Kelce acknowledges that he pushed off James while crediting the star safety for knowing his routes:
Travis Kelce finished the night with five receptions for 45 yards. The defensive slugfest culminated with Matthew Wright (starting in place of an injured Harrison Butker) kicking the game-winning field goal off the left upright and in, giving KC a 19-17 victory.

Not only did Sunday mark a seventh straight win over the Bolts, but the Chiefs also secured a ninth straight AFC West division crown. With the Buffalo Bills falling to the Los Angeles Rams, the Chiefs (12-1) are now two games up for the conference’s top seed and first-round bye.
Travis Kelce Is Struggling This Season, But Chiefs Keep Winning
The 35-year-old Kelce is having a disappointing year statistically, with just 80 receptions for 682 yards and two touchdowns. He’s on pace to finish with his worst statistical season since becoming a full-time starter in 2014.
But there’s hardly any reason to be worried if you’re a Chiefs fan, because the team just keeps finding ways to win. One can say that they’re due for some regression after squeaking out so many tight wins, but it’s awfully hard to bet against a team with four AFC Championship banners and three Super Bowl titles since 2019.

Taylor Swift can bake just as good as she can sing and put on a show while in concert.
The pop star may not be an official member of the Kansas City Chiefs, but she is certainly doing her part to ensure the happiness of the other players on the squad.
During the 2023 season, head coach Andy Reid revealed that she baked her patented homemade pop-tarts for the offensive line.
She is back at it again this year.
After Kansas City’s last-second field goal from Harrison Butker replacement Spencer Shrader gave the Chiefs a 30-27 victory over the Carolina Panthers, assistant coach David Merritt received some specially baked pop tarts from Swift.
“Taylor Swift baked homemade victory Pop-Tarts for me!” Merritt said on social media.
His wife, Yolonda, bruised hi sego when she revealed that Taylor Swift had been baking special treats for different players and coaches all season long.

Chris Jones’s girlfriend, Sheawna Weathersby, shared a photo on Instagram to reveal that fact.
“Yolonda Merritt said, ‘She’s done it all season for different people Dave,’ I thought I was SPECIAL Sweet young woman regardless!” he joked.
Sheawna Weathersby and the Chiefs defensive tackle share two sons.
Taylor Swift’s Record-Breaking Eras Tour Is Coming To An End
Taylor Swift is now performing the last gigs of the Eras Tour in Canada, with the final concert happening on December 8 in Vancouver.
Unfortunately for her, Travis Kelce won’t be able to attend the concert because the Chiefs are playing the Los Angeles Chargers that same day. That game will be at Arrowhead Stadium, where Swift has attended all home games.
Once her schedule is cleared, Swift appears to be available to attend the remaining games of the regular season, including the postseason.
With only three concerts left in the Eras Tour, Taylor Swift is nearing the very end of a year-plus-long global tour.
The singer reflected bout that when writing about her tour on Instagram.
“Our next city will be the last one of The Eras Tour, and the closing of the most extraordinary chapter of my life so far,” Swift said. “See you 🔜 , Vancouver. We can’t wait to give you all we’ve got for three more shows. 🥲”
