A blockbuster trade proposal has the Philadelphia 76ers sending the Paul George era by sending the future Hall of Famer to a top team in the Western Conference.
After five years with the Los Angeles Clippers that culminated in just two playoff series wins, the 34-year-old Paul Geoge left to sign with Joel Embiid’s 76ers on a four-year contract worth $212 million.
But the 2024-25 season has been a nightmare in Philly thus far, with George and Embiid combining to play just 17 games (12 for George, five for Embiid). The 76ers are 7-15 and just outside the play-in picture, but this group looks nothing like a championship contender as currently constructed.
With Embiid’s future as a 76er also in question, one certainly couldn’t fault the 76ers if they decided to begin a rebuild. If George were to hit the trade block, there would be no shortage of interested teams.
Anthony Irwin of ClutchPoints proposed a blockbuster trade idea that has Philadelphia sending Paul George to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for D’Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, Rui Hachimura, one of Cam Reddish or Jaxson Hayes, first-round picks in 2029 and 2031 and multiple second-rounders.

The Lakers are in the playoff picture with LeBron James and Anthony Davis still performing at elite levels, but the lack of a third star has held this team out of the championship chase since their triumph in the 2020 Orlando bubble.
76ers Shouldn’t Give Up On Paul George Just Yet
The 2022-23 Miami Heat are a prime example of how anything can happen if you just get into the postseason, even if you performed below expectations in the regular season.
If the 76ers can find their game with a healthy George, Embiid and Tyrese Maxey trio, they’ll get into the postseason. With that talent level, a deep playoff run wouldn’t be out of the question, either.

Leanna revealed that the player didn’t tickle her fancy as he wasn’t her type, so she left him with the crickets. Of course, he got through eventually.
She also admitted that she has the proclivity to blow up when things don’t go her way.
