Not many people had a better summer than A’ja Wilson. The frontrunner to be named the 2024 WNBA MVP added an Olympic gold medal to her accolades.

Wilson made the United States proud as part of the women’s national basketball team. Her Olympic counterpart, LeBron James, did the same for the men’s squad, coming away with gold just like Wilson. The Olympics gave the men’s and women’s player plenty of opportunities to become closer professionally and personally.

That seems to have led to James paying closer attention to Wilson and the WNBA. After Wilson hit the game-winner against the Chicago Sky on Sunday, LeBron took to X to voice his excitement.

Wilson drew praise from just about everyone for her buzzer-beater. She finished the game with 20 points and 18 rebounds.

In the postgame interview, Wilson was particularly heated. When prompted on why she felt like that, it was clear she didn’t like the performance of the referees in this game; and throughout this whole season.

Everyone has to do their job. From the players to the refs to the coaches… I don’t appreciate being looked at and stared at as if you’re trying to intimidate me or act like I don’t have a voice on this court. If I get fined for this I am terribly sorry, but it’s ridiculous. We’ve been going through this all season.

The Las Vegas Aces are now 18-11 and are currently the 5th seed in the WNBA playoff picture.

Dallas Cowboys Set The NFL On Fireworks By Dealing QB Dak Prescott To Longtime AFC Rival In Blockbuster Trade Proposal

The Dallas Cowboys kick off their 2024 NFL campaign in 15 days, and Jerry Jones still hasn’t extended quarterback Dak Prescott or wide receiver CeeDee Lamb as they head into their contract years.

Dak Prescott has one year remaining on the four-year, $160 million extension he signed with Dallas in the 2021 offseason, while the 25-year-old CeeDee Lamb is entering the fifth and final year of his rookie deal.

Some fans have started to wonder if Jones would be open to trading Prescott and Lamb. Of course, his preference is to keep both of them, but what if the Cowboys owner received an offer for his star quarterback that he can’t refuse?

The scenario seems crazy at first, but it’s not. What if Jones traded Prescott, punted on 2024 and set himself up to tank and draft a new franchise quarterback in Georgia’s Carson Beck, Texas’ Quinn Ewers or Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders next year?

One team that makes perfect sense for Dak Prescott is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who haven’t had an above-average quarterback play since Ben Roethlisberger’s last healthy season way-back-when in 2018.
