Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese recently opened up about her dating preferences and deal-breakers in relationships during an episode of her podcast, Unapologetically Angel.
In a candid conversation with guest Coco Jones, the WNBA star shared her thoughts on what she looks for in a partner and the traits she avoids, providing listeners with a glimpse into her personal values and relationship standards.
A Clear Vision for the Ideal Partne
Reese expressed her preference for a man who doesn’t focus too much on his own appearance, saying, “I like a man who is not too cute. You can’t be too cute for me.” She elaborated that excessive vanity or self-absorption isn’t appealing to her, striking a humorous yet firm tone during the discussion.
One of her more specific dating rules centers around grooming habits. “You shouldn’t be taking a selfie before me,” she remarked, which prompted agreement from Coco Jones, who responded, “Oh, definitely not that.” Reese added, “Why are you taking longer than me? I should be teaching you skincare.”
The basketball star’s playful yet pointed rules sparked an amusing reaction online. Fans were quick to share their opinions, with one saying, “Cause we can’t both be Beyoncé,” while another described her comments as “such a Taurus” energy. Others found her views relatable, echoing, “Facts.”
Reflecting on Past Relationships and Height Preferences
Although Reese is currently single, she has had notable experiences in the dating world. She was in a public relationship with fellow basketball player Cam’Ron Fletcher during her college years. The couple began dating in 2023 but ended their relationship in March 2024.
Standing at 6-foot-3, Reese also admitted she feels hesitant about dating men shorter than her. “But I just don’t know if I have the confidence to date a man shorter than me,” she said, explaining that it’s an unusual scenario for a basketball player of her stature.
Reese‘s mix of humor and honesty continues to resonate with fans, showcasing her strong personality and clear vision for what she values in a partner. Her willingness to share these personal insights highlights her authenticity, both on and off the court.
