A giant four-team trade proposal has the Los Angeles Lakers uniting LeBron James and Stephen Curry by acquiring the four-time NBA champion in a move that would alter the NBA landscape forever.
On Thursday afternoon, news broke that the Golden State Warriors have signed Stephen Curry to a one-year contract extension worth $62.6 million. The deal keeps the two-time league MVP under contract through 2026-27.
But if the Warriors want to commit to a full-scale rebuild, they just did themselves a favor by extending Curry for another year. That’s because the trade value for the greatest three-point shooter in NBA history just got even higher, meaning they’ll secure even more trade assets now if Curry hits the trade block.
The day before Stephen Curry signed his extension with Golden State, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report proposed a blockbuster trade idea that would see the Dubs sending Curry to the Lakers in a four-team deal involving the Detroit Pistons and Brooklyn Nets.
In the proposal, the Lakers would get Curry, Day’Ron Sharpe (from Brooklyn), Wendell Moore Jr. (from the Detroit Pistons) and a $3.9 million trade exemption (in this case, Jalen Hood-Schifino).
Golden State would get Austin Reaves and 2029 and 2031 first-round picks from the Lakers, Ben Simmons from the Nets and a $2.4 million trade exemption (Curry).
“LA would send Gabe Vincent, D’Angelo Russell, Jalen Hood-Schifino and Rui Hachimura to Brooklyn. The Pistons would get Dennis Schröder and a 2025 second-rounder from the Nets, Christian Wood, a 2025 second-rounder and $4 million from the Lakers:
The Warriors can rely on veterans like Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney, Gary Payton II, Simmons and others (like Melton, Hield and Anderson) to try to compete or be used as trade bait before the February deadline. Golden State has made the playoffs in just two of the last five years (albeit with a title in 2021-22)—it’s not like the franchise is giving up on a perpetual contender.”
Curry and James have made many memorable run-ins during their illustrious careers, including four straight NBA Finals appearances between the Dubs and Cleveland Cavaliers (2015 to 2018).
Stephen Curry & LeBron James Need Each Other Now
Curry (36) and James (40 in December) certainly aren’t getting any younger. The Dubs’ title window has closed, and the Lakers need a third star to help LeBron and Anthony Davis if they’re to compete for a championship.
So if the Warriors would do the unthinkable and actually listen to offers for Curry, the Lakers need to go all-in and try to unite the pair once and for all.

Like most others, Michael Jordan is attempting to make the most of his summer by taking a pleasant vacation. Online footage of the NBA legend traveling to Italy with his spouse, Yvette Prieto, has just surfaced.
In one video, Jordan and Prieto can be seen dancing at a table at what seems to be a nightclub. Like in his playing days, the six-time champion smokes a cigar on his night out. The pair eventually lose themselves in the intensity of the occasion and start dancing. Michael Jordan and his spouse traveled to Italy in elegance, as anticipated. The Chicago Bulls icon is currently on a superyacht.

Several memorable moments occurred during the evening, such as the amusing present from the nightclub: a tambourine with their faces from the same night’s picture. Prieto held the unique gift up for Jordan to see, and it caused grins and laughter.
Jordan also interacted with people on their Capri excursion, shaking hands, striking pictures at their table, and dancing with them. His approachable manner and eagerness to interact with people emphasized his genuine nature even more.
