Devin Booker and Kevin Durant have 15 points each, win gold with Team USA - Bright Side Of The Sun

Team USA made it five consecutive gold medal wins at the 2024 Olympics after beating France in the final. Much of that victory can be alluded to the impact Kevin Durant and Devin Booker had in the tournament. The duo combined in attack to inflict losses on their opponents. As a result, former NBA star Kevin Garnett believes they will take the league by storm next season.

While speaking on his podcast recently, the basketball veteran singled out Kevin Durant and Booker for their performances in Paris. Garnett believes that the duo playing together would be a recipe for success with the Phoenix Suns.Phoenix gonna be better… And Kevin Durant and Booker make good in the Olympics. KD came back and gave them some energy…

And they got two superstars that played this summer and that means something. That means they are in rhythm, I'm telling you bro, Phoenix gonna be better.

Kevin Garnett said

According to him, the Suns are going to be serious contenders for the championship. He attributes this prediction to the fact that two gold medalists, KD and Booker, are on the team, while asserting that their chemistry on the court makes them very formidable players. Furthermore, Garnett added that Devin Booker could also become an MVP, suggesting that they will make the NBA Finals.

Following the Olympic Games, the ‘Slim Reaper’ wasted no time in getting some well-deserved rest. He teamed up with Booker on a vacation to rewind and rejuvenate after the tournament. But it wasn’t just all fun and leisure for the two-time NBA champion. Durant also closed some interesting business deals, acquiring a minority stake in Paris St. Germain, a major French football club.

Devin Booker heaped praise on Kevin Durant after breaking Olympics record

During their time at the Paris Olympics, Kevin Durant once again showed his elite winning mentality. After their win against Brazil in the group stages, the 35-year-old stole the limelight as he shattered Lisa Leslie‘s record. The WNBA legend previously held the record for most points scored for USA basketball in both male and female teams.

Nonetheless, the 14-time All-Star broke the existing record and now sits on top the leaderboard with 494 points. Indeed, achieving that feat brought praise from teammate Devin Booker.

That’s Captain America status, I feel like he has every record, every Olympic reco

rd... That would be the most as a men’s player also. He’s a hard worker, man. Now that we’re teammates, I get to see it behind the scenes.

Devin Booker said in an interview with NBC Sports

The duo formed a potent partnership on the world stage. In that historic game, KD posted 11 points and 4 rebounds, leading the USA to victory with a scoreline of 122-87. On his part, Booker recorded 18 points and three assists against Brazil.

Dallas Cowboys Set The NFL On Fireworks By Dealing QB Dak Prescott To Longtime AFC Rival In Blockbuster Trade Proposal

The Dallas Cowboys kick off their 2024 NFL campaign in 15 days, and Jerry Jones still hasn’t extended quarterback Dak Prescott or wide receiver CeeDee Lamb as they head into their contract years.

Dak Prescott has one year remaining on the four-year, $160 million extension he signed with Dallas in the 2021 offseason, while the 25-year-old CeeDee Lamb is entering the fifth and final year of his rookie deal.

Some fans have started to wonder if Jones would be open to trading Prescott and Lamb. Of course, his preference is to keep both of them, but what if the Cowboys owner received an offer for his star quarterback that he can’t refuse?

The scenario seems crazy at first, but it’s not. What if Jones traded Prescott, punted on 2024 and set himself up to tank and draft a new franchise quarterback in Georgia’s Carson Beck, Texas’ Quinn Ewers or Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders next year?

One team that makes perfect sense for Dak Prescott is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who haven’t had an above-average quarterback play since Ben Roethlisberger’s last healthy season way-back-when in 2018.
